Is the Mercer Co. player playing varsity, Will Hager? I would think he is ready for varsity.

Coach Fowler has totally changed the football culture at OC. The class of 2012 were freshmen when he came to Owen County. The year before that was possibly the worst year Owen County Football ever had in terms of record, moral, discipline, you name it and this year they are undefeated and the boys and fans are having the times of their lives. I don't know enough about the other coaches mentioned on here to know if Coch Fowler deserves coach of the year or not but he has definately done a great job.

Rebels ended a tough week with a great win. The boys got off to a slow start but did not disappoint the huge Owen County crowd and improved their record to 9-0.

Heard Henry Co beat Lex Cath 14-8 in the 8th grade division.

Suprised to see that games are scheduled so close together. Semi-finals on the 29th and finals on 30th doesn't seem to be in the best interest of the kids.

Owen County's JV has lost a couple of games. Varsity and Middle school is undefeated and they don't have a freshman team.

I have yet to see this year's but the whole publication is usually full of mistakes and uneducated opinions.

Yeah, last year it was a mess. Listing kids in the wrong grade and even at the wrong school. I have even seen kids listed who hadn't played in 2 years or more. I always get upset about the mistakes and some of the obvious home team spirit by the authors but yet I continue to buy it.

They are rockin'. In the past the only people who went to the away games were family and girl friends of the players. Last night the stands were packed with Rebel fans. I'm sure Walton had a very good gate.

My concern is that just because coaches cannot make it "mandatory" doesn't mean it won't be mandatory. KHSAA needs to protect kids' time from over zealous coaches and parents. Frankly I don't think they do a very good job of it.

Trimble and Gallatin are still on the 1A list too. Looks like someone needs to update KHSAA's website.

Why is Walton listed as single A on the scoreboard on the KHSAA web site? Aren't they 2A?
