Collinsworth offered by Notre Dame...

Has he been offered or are you just saying this would be a great place for him to play? -
Simon Kenton 86 Oldham County 76

SK had 11 fouls called on them in the 4th quarter to OC 4 fouls. There was a total of 54 fouls the whole game I believe, 33 on SK 21 called on OC. Refs were TERRIBLE!!! -
Simon Kenton 41 Walton Verona 35
liveblue4ever replied to liveblue4ever's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
I don't have stats but WV didn't have any double digit scorers to my knowledge and only hit one three all night. Walton led most of the night until something like the last 2 minutes. -
Final. Really good game.

Who is this year's Mr. Football winner?

I think you should talk to the coaches that had to prepare for him and the players that played against him. -
Who is this year's Mr. Football winner?
liveblue4ever replied to billwilliams70's topic in KY Football (High School)
Nothing will suprise me. IMHO it should be Simpson. Best I have ever seen ones like him come once in a life time. Big, strong, fast, cuts on a dime or can run right over you and deliver punishing hits. I have seen him just run people over when he could have put a move on them. Factor in that if Lawerence was a senior (SK' QB) they could be co-Mr. Football. Lawerences numbers are every bit as good as Andrews. My point is SK was not just the Miles Simpson show like it is with many of the other candidates. I believe that if Simpson got the carries that Alexander did his senior year the record books would belong to Miles. -
Speed, speed, speed!!!! And trust me you will be down 34-0 before you can even think about adjusting. Maybe Greenwood can practice against WKU all week to replicate that speed.

That just makes no sense! Every team we play has worked hard and sweat and bled just like we have win or lose. It's called respect for the game and those who are lucky enough to play it. A lot of you only count respect in wins and loses. If you are that narrow minded so be it. -

RockPride you a little worried that the mighty Rocks could lose in the finals to someone other than one of the "mighty" Louisville schools? Must be why else would you be on a St.X thread?? The Pioneers will show up and give 110% and if that is not good enough so be it. Unlike you we respect every team we play. -
Simon Kenton 2009/2010

They have never lost a 32nd district game, from my knowledge. Not sure about regions but they have lost a regional game in the past couple years for sure. -

Ponzer won't run the point, she will be at the 2 guard most likely. Look for Brown to play the 3 a lot too this year. -
Yeah and Simpson is just an average back...

Get over the score! I can remember playing 4 Homecomings one year and no one was crying for SK then, besides many picked Conner to win. And as the old saying goes "if you talk the talk you better be able to walk the walk"!!
-
I don't know why Conner doesn't run? They had a total of 3 yards rushing. I wish they had too we would have shut them out.

Henry Clay 42 Simon Kenton 31
liveblue4ever replied to sportsnut859's topic in KY Football (High School)
Having seen the film, I don't think Simon could have played worse. Henry Clay has speed but lack of execution was the problem not their speed. It all comes down to doing what you are coached to do. I certainly hope that Simon gets the chance to see Henry Clay again.By the way why does Highlands have to be mentioned in every SK thread?? I don't see SK being mentioned in the Highlands threads. -

Wainscott can score very efficiently but would have rather passed the ball last year to Tolliver. Brown is also going to put points on the board for the pioneers. And if you questioning defending bigger teams it sounds like your questioning Jeff Stowers defense. -

SK needed a home game. It is true that Elder and Colrain came calling but they wanted SK to come there. I know coach Marksberry and coach Mueller tried to work something out but just couln't get it done. It would have been great to play them at Paul Brown or Nippert. -
How people leap frog you when you win convencingly without the best player in the state is beyond me. With or without Miles SK is tough. They have a lot of weapons.

Wainscott, Brown, Ponzer- SK Dixon - WV Wilhoit - W-Town Gayheart - Owen Hill - Gallatin Just a few who stand out in my opinion. :thumb: -
What is Rich waiting for??? The sweater vest better get in the game before it is too late!

I would have Mike Webster in my fox hole any day! Having been around the program for over half of its existance I think Miles is by far the best ever. There have been very few guys that you know are going to make something happen. For example the Male game he blocked a field goal and threw a pass and rushed for 200yds. When we don't get a good kick off return there is no worries it just means Miles will get more rushing yards!
