They have two very fast backs. Good luck.

Not taking anything away from SK's defense, but there is no reason for Butler's offense to sputter that bad. They have so many athletes. They need to be a TON less predictable. They also need to try more than 2 throws down field with players like that and you must mix up the run and pass.

 

Anytime that #23 lined up in the QB position you knew the sprint to an end was coming. They never even faked a hand off to slow the D down. Whenever the QB was in position it was going to be an out route. Sage Powell and others began to read that very well and Sage was a step away from a pick 6.

 

With some differnt play calling SK is still probably too much, but atleast it'd been a ball game.

After Butler tied the game at 7-7 I thought it may be a close game but SK was just too much for Butler. There was no way once the Neers got a solid lead they had any chance without the threat of a running game. The Manual game should be a good one.

I think the Conner score tonight should have the Pioneer fans feeling a little more confident versus Manual.

From the second quarter on out SK pretty much dominated the game. Saw ALOT of flags thrown against both teams, at times the officials seemed to be more aggressive than the players on the field. Saw some very unhappy Butler parents towards the end of the game(I stood on their side). One mom was yelling at her son for being on the field for kick off return following SK's last TD. She told him it was pointless to be out there and was literally yelling at him to leave the field, I felt bad for the kid. All in all it was a great night for football.
