Chalk this one up to tradition; SK has been there and done that, and WV has not. WV has the tools, they just haven't figured out the riddle yet. This contest was similar to a baseball game in which good pitching stifles good hitting. Until somebody steps up and takes down SK, they are still the defending champs and favorites to repeat. Not saying that it canot of will not be done, it just has not been done yet.

You hit the nail on the head.

The good news for WV is that they will at least two more chances, and I am sure they will change things the next time. Sounds like WV can play with them this year, so the next two meetings should be very intertaining.

WV's coach better change his style, or SK is going to beat them everytime.

Ref's tonight were just plain bad.

I believe it was:

1st 11-2 WV

2nd 17-11 WV

3rd ? WV

Final 41 - 35 SK

IMO, the key was again SK "D." This resulted in the inability of WV to get the ball into Dixon.

I'll tell you one thing, Brown (SK) and Dixon (WV) were something to watch. Physical x 2. Brown ended with 6 pts and Dixon 9 pts. Both ended with 4 fouls each but played 95% of the game and both were there at the finish. They were on each other like glue and Brown was able to drop freethrows in the final 1:30. They each were held to 50% of their normal scoring this season. What a couple warriors tonight. :notworthy:

I believe the game was tied twice and SK only had one lead 31-30 until the last 1:30.

Wainscott finished with double points but not sure of total? Ponzer (SK) 9 pts. great as usual on "D." Pace (SK) played the best she has ever played under the boards. If she continues to improve on how she looked tonight" what a great help!" They have to watch turnovers.

Brown - Wainscott - Ponzer all had big steals that resulted in points.

Guess who says this "If we hold a team under 40 we'll always score 41."

Good win for SK. Coach Trame moving over to the boys side hurt Walton. SK had an off night shooting the ball from from the outside and WV was even worse. Don't understand why WV keeps some of there girls on the court as far as shot selection, quickness, and especially DEFENSE. Looking forward to the rematch at SK. Keep the streak alive!

Losing Coach Trame hurt for sure but picking up Dan Sullivan was a great move.
