With the talent they had Scott should have never been in that type of game. All 5 of Scott Co's starters will play basketball in college. They may all end up at the D-1 level. :confused:

The 13th region will be a guard heavy region next year. Maden from Bell Co. should be rated 1st, with Hooker and Mitchell being 2nd and 3rd from Clay Co.

I could not remember the name of the kid from B-ville. Hildebrand is a nice player, Wagner and Likins could also make the list. I believe Clay Co. will have 3 and Bell Co. and Knox could have two each. They should be the top 3 teams in the region next year. I will go ahead and pick my top 5 teams next year. 1. Clay Co. 2. Bell Co. 3. Knox Central 4. Corbin 5. B-ville

These are a few players that I believe could be in the top 10 other than Maden and Hooker. Clay Co- Mitchell, Roberts, Gay Knox Central- Broughton, Canady Bell Co- Lee Corbin- Smith, Taylor South Laurel- Sanders

Scott Co. has more talent than anyone in the Sweet 16. They should win this game and the title. I watched them on Wazoo and they look and play like a small college team. Congrats to the Hounds and Good Luck.

HDE who would be your top 5 players next season in the 13th region? I would have to put Maden and Hooker 1 and 2.

I agree, how could he not get a look at Mr. Basketball. Mr. Basketball is based on the best HIGH SCHOOL basketball player in the state. Notice I put high school in caps because I believe some people base votes for how the player will be at the next level. Polson may not be a D-1 player, but he is one of the best 5 or 6 high school players in the state of kentucky. He was one of the best two or three in the sweet 16 last year. I still believe he is a mid major type player. How many kids in the state can take over a game like he can. I would say you could count them on one hand.

This is not a bad 3 seasons. I also believe you have to give a coach 5 to 6 years. This gives them a chance to take a group of young kids and implement the system the coach wants. This was a pretty harsh thread and I hope this does not make things hard on Coach Code. I do not believe some people realize how hard it is to win a regional title.

:thumb: I believe North can guard them and "D" will be the key in this one. If North can hold Johnson or Wilson too 10 or 12 points they should win this game. If both of those guys go for 20+ this could be a long night for the Jaguars.

Question? People often talk about must win games. Even though Scott Co. plays in the top region in the state is this a must win game for Scott Co. My point is if they get beat will this take away some of that fear factor teams have had the past several years when playing them.

They will have Hooker, Mitchell, and Roberts back.

North Laurel has played a good schedule this season. They have four really nice players on that squad. I look for North to chase Wilson or Johnson with Wardrup.

I look for Clay to make a change next season, but I would like to see them give the coach one more year. Clay will be the top team next season and Bell should be ranked second.

Sanders PG South Laurel

Johnson is the best player in the state, but he will split alot of votes with others in the area. I believe Justice from Shelby Valley will win Mr. Basketball because in years past if the mountains have a great player he usually wins.

This was a physical battle on both ends of the floor.

Polson is the best Left handed guard in the state.

Best PG in the region since Cash.

Madon would be my top player in the 13th next season.

The charge call on Maden for Bell in the 4th OT was huge. That was Maden's 5th foul of the game. After that call Bell could not get any "O" going for them. HDE this had to be the best first round game in the history of 13th region basketball.
