  1. WV was missing their two best players at the frosh and JV level.
  2. It's a team game....it really doesn't matter. Congrats to WV on the team WIN!
  3. Trimble County played hard and smart. Their two inside post players dominated Walton. Burns, from WV, stayed in foul trouble the entire game and basically only played a few minutes in the second half. For WV, it was a game of missed jump shots, fouling, turnovers and more turnovers. Ponzer didnt start the second half nor did he ever enter the game. WV will need to play better on Friday and Saturday or it could be a long weekend for the Bearcats!
  4. Nice win for BB and Coach Mike Code!
  5. Sounds like an all-to-faimiliar theme. Hopefully the boys eventually buy into what Coach Trame is trying to teach. The effort and attitudes have been disappointing to this point.
  6. Historically, Walton-Verona has had a strong baseball program. It would be nice to see the program get back to where it once was. The program is in a total state of disarray and there is no direction or leadership. It would be nice to see a little less emphasis put into how the field looks and more into how the team performs. With that being said, Shelby will probably be the team to beat in 2010.
  7. Does GRC have the top 5 players in the region? Anytime you go on the road and play a rival, it's going to be a tough game.
  8. Final from Williamstown. WV did a nice job taking care of business after a very lopsided loss to Gallatin County.
  9. :thumb: Couldn't have said it better myself. I'll go with WV by 8.
  10. Coach Jones does an excellent job at Gallatin and will have his team ready to play. Coach Trame has brought a new level of excitement to the WV program. If WV can take advantage of their heighth on the inside and convert, then I think they can pull out the victory. On the flip side, if WV struggles containing Jones and the other Gallatin guards then GC will win. I look for Zach McNeil from WV to play a key part in this match-up. With the game being at WV, I'll take WV by 6 with it coming down to making free throws to seal the game.
  11. He should be logging more time. The fact the he's probably their best shooter may have something to do with his playing time.
  12. Congrats to the Ladycats! :ylsuper:
  13. Final. Nice effort by the Bearcats!
  14. :ohbrother: Not a fan of the mohawk. If they were looking for unity, I might have gone with the shaved head route.
  15. Still talking about a scrimmage?:deadhorse:
  16. I don't care who you are - that's funny!
  17. I would agree. Walton certainly has some talent coming up through the system. Coach Trame seems to be really excited about the future at Walton-Verona. Only time, and some hard work, will tell if things work out.
  18. WV might as well just forfit and save themselves the embarrassment of getting pushed all over the court.:isurrender: I'm sure SK will have a nice team again this year however you would have to think that WV would be favored over SK this year based simply on what each team has returning.
  19. BB did an outstanding job controlling the line of scrimmage the enitre game. WV never could find a way to stop the run. :irked:WV's play calling was suspect at best.
  20. What was up with the on side kick up 35-0 right before half time?
  21. Prayers go out to Woody and his family. We ask that God place his hand on your family at this time.
