What does Walton-Verona need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

The Bearcats should have a very solid team. Really good size and a proven backcourt. If the post players have improved like I think they have over the summer Walton will make a serious push for the District and All "A" regional crowns. The all "A" is at Walton which should make them the favorites. I'm sure there will be some growing pains with a new coaching staff coming in, but by Christmas this could be a very very good team.

Favorites in the "all-A"" ahead of Owen County?

Owen will be very fortunate to get out of the opening round.

Walton has the size to matchup well with Owen. Burns is 6'7 and Reynolds is 6'5. WV has better guards than Owen. Sullivan, Ponzer and Bowling are probably all better than what Owen has at guard. How Walton handles the new coach will be a factor. Trame is qualified. WV is a great dark horse pick.

The key to Walton's success will be how the bigs play. They are very deep at the guard position but what they've been lacking is a presence down low. The guards will be the leaders of this team but they will only be able to go as far as the post players allow them to.

I would agree that Walton's gaurds are better, but can their bigs play inside with the 3 from Owen? Walton's bigs might have height, but not much mass to go along with it.

First, Owen will make it out of the first round. Burns cannot match up with Shelton. I feel Shelton will dominate him on the court. Reynolds cannot contend in the post. Williams or Colligan can handle him. The big question is the guards. WV guards are better and that will be a key to the game.

Pretty sure he was an assistant coach for the girls last season. He hasn't coached at HC for a couple years.
