  1. Great Job by the Bearcats. First District title since 1950's. Zach McNeil MVP Hargett and Brockman named to All Tournament Team. BEWARE OF THE BOW TIE :taz:
  2. This would have to qualify as a rather disappointing season for Owen.
  3. Lady Bearcats win in Double Overtime:taz: Way to go ladies. Maybe Coach Miller does know what he is doing.
  4. Congrats to Gallatin County! Nice win against Owen.
  5. :deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:
  6. Congrats to WV. Good luck in the district tournament.
  7. I think being negative comes easy for "Madman".
  8. Easy there big fella. If you haven't noticed, he basically insults everyone. And, I don't believe that I ever said that you insulted WV. I'm sure everyone has noticed that Madman spends way too much time commenting on GC's defensive tactics. He apparently has some axe to grind with GC.
  9. What's with the WV comments????? We don't want Madman talking about WV anymore than you do about Grant County.
  10. Congrats to Conner and Coach Hicks. WV played hard but had a very difficult time scoring against Conner's size. Zach McNeil was the game's leading scorer with 25 points.
  11. looks like Harlan won 34-29 according to the website. http://www.allaclassic.org
  12. 2/1/2011 Grant Co. 77 Walton-Verona 72 Walton-Verona 13 18 17 24 72 Grant Co. 9 24 19 25 77 Walton-Verona (11-8) -- Smith 2, Moeves 19, Hargett 22, McNeil 22, Lynn 3, Brockman 4. Grant Co. (8-14) -- Hurley 5, Shipp 1, Anglin 4, Thomas 4, Carr 11, Kinmon 25, Robbins 4, Blackburn 11, Hunt 11, Davis 1.
  13. It went both ways there is no doubt about it. Yes, he missed the ball out of bounds there is no doubt. Can't say that I agree with either of the intentional foul calls but South had the oportunity to put the game away there and did not, missed both free throws and then threw the ball away. Not a good foul on the other end by South Oldham, they let her make the layup they are still up by 2 but when you extend both arms in the lower back of a girl on a fast break there is a chance that it will be called intentional. It was, Taulbee hits both free throws to tie. Could have went either way and Walton was the fortunate team that capitalized on the other teams mistakes.
  14. Nice win for Gallatin County and Coach Jones!
  15. Sure isn't the first time that we've heard this.....
  16. Yes they did. Played Grant County at 2:00 for a district seeding game and then played at 7:30 against South Oldham
  17. Not a really hard foul but a push in the lower back on a break away layup. I think what made him call it was the fact that she extended both of her arms in her back. Crazy game and I would not have beleived it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. Good game played by both teams. Whitfield can flat out play.
  18. Moeves and McNeil are going to make a really nice backcourt at WV for the next 3 years.
  19. Congrats to Gallatin. They outperformed WV in all aspects of the game. Allowing a good team to shoot layups all night is not a good recipe for success.
  20. I think that it might be. If not, pretty close. Big game by Hargett and McNeil. Big lift off the bench by Tanner Moeves scoring 10 and making a couple of nice dishes. He plays very under control for a Freshman. He will be a load when he gains some strength. Game would have been over long before if Walton would have converted free throws.
