Maybe Coach Miller does know what he is doing.

Congratulations to the Lady Bearcats and the WV coaching staff on a nail biter game!

Congratulations to all the ladies receiving awards tonight and a great big congratulations to Kelli Dixon for receiving the tournament MVP award.

Without a horse in the race, this was a fun game to watch. lots of momentum changes. Congrats to WV on their win!

I know that motion offense and dribble drive are the in thing now, but with 2 girls over 6' and noone on the other team remotely close to that size, why not just play a simple high and low post pound the ball inside and then kick it back out to the shooters when they collapse? Appeared to me like Walton was playing exactly how SK would want them to.

Congrats to the Lady Bearcats! Walton closed the deal down the stretch. Several different players made big plays at different times in the game. Also congrats to Kara Taulbee, and Courtney Sandlin on all tourney team, and Kelli Dixon on MVP award.

Congrats to the Lady Cats. Both teams fought hard and had their chances. Walton had several players make contributions at critical times. Dixon was a force inside, I believe she ended up with 27 points. Glad to see that Mullikin is getting significant minutes at the point. Yes, she made some mistakes (they all did), but she provided the spark in the 1st half by handling the SK press. I think you will see some good things out of this young lady over the next 3 years. Good luck to both teams next week.

I thought SK had it wrapped up in the first OT but the charity stripe wasn't kind. Great game. Walton led from start until Stephenson tied the game with less than20 seconds. Walton did a great job of getting ball inside in the first half but didn't do as good of a job in the second half as SK's defense made it tough for WV to run their half court offense. SK shooting was dismal; not sure about for the game but they were like 1 for 10 from the three in the first. The SK press kept them in the game and got them the OT lead. Congrats and good luck to both teams. Great show and great effort. Lots of 8th region coaches in the stands to take this one in. WV had a great crowd at SK.

Stephenson fouling out was a blow to SK as she led them to OT and helped SK take a lead. Tying bucket here.

 

Scrappy game by both teams.

 

Slavey fouled at the 1st OT buzzer made two foul shots to get to the second OT. Wow, tough shots to make.
