I believe they put J. Johnson on Botkin, I think Botkin is a good ball player. Holmes will win, and I expect Pittman to dominate inside(If he stays inside).

This thread was a little early, but Brian committed yesterday so congrats. MSJ is getting a great athlete and player.

I think Ricardo could play point at the next level, however Holmes struggles against full court trapping pressure. Housley played a great game and so did J.J., can't wait to see Vee Sanford vs Ricardo:clap::popcorn:.

Ferguson put on a show in the first half. I was very impressed with him on the offensive end of the floor, he hit fall aways, he hit runners and even rebounded offensively. I don't think Elliott plays the kind of defense needed to win it all though. I will say that they will get by Shelby Valley though :thumb:. I would love to see Holmes vs Elliott.

The game will be hosted at Beechwood's new field. Bellevue is coming off a huge win over Scott and Beechwood is coming over a disappointing loss to Dixie. Thoughts?

Beechwood also threw Larrimore, Snyder, Bertke, Brilz, and Martin. Not sure on the rotations right now but that was who pitched during the scrimmage.

I happiest people would be the folks at HC and I believe Villa would be very upset.

I believe Taylor Snyder of NCC was an 8th grader playing varsity for Bwood and then she decided to transfer to NCC. She played in her Freshman year and they won the All "A" State.

Holmes has struggled with presses this season, but I wouldn't say either team would win by double digits. Holmes can and loves to run up and down so I'm not sure what game you went to but Holmes is a running team that gets most their points of their defense. These are two of the three best teams left and this game would be great. I would take Holmes by 2.

I think they keep the same schedule with one difference. Instead of playing Lloyd, they now will play Highlands in a real game, not a scrimmage. The other teams are Dixie, NewCath, CovCath, Bellevue, Brossart, Dayton, Holy Cross, and Ludlow I believe. There may be one more and I know there is a bye week.

Are there any major standouts? D-1 prospects like the three girls from NCC?

Is that the Young kid who also played basketball?

I would say that Smith will hit 93 this year. He has good work ethics and power. My only problem with him is when the going gets tough, he sometimes doesn't deal with it. He's a great pitcher but I think his mental game is lacking.

Baseball does seem to be pretty high in NKY. A part of me wants my team to win but another part of me wants to see great baseball played to whatever game I go to.

What is the toughest district in NKY? I'd say 34th with Covington Catholic Holy Cross Beechwood and Holmes. CCH is heavy favorites and HC and BW can contend with any team in NKY.

Lets face it, If Smith wasn't 6'6"(?) he would probably not have a division 1 scholarship at this point. With that said, he is still a great player and one of the better pitchers in NKY. I don't believe he is a top 50 player in the state though. Prove me wrong!! :thumb:

Who are the players to watch for next season or seasons to come?

It appears as though we'll have to prove all questions during the season. See who the contenders and pretenders are. Looking for a great season, good luck to all players and more importantly teams
