baseball4life Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 What is the rule for underclassmen that play at the varisty level but then want to transfer to another school? Do they have to play some many innings or could 1 at bat or 1 inning of play lock them in at that school? trying to get this straight. Thanks

Thanks Just one at bat or one inning would make it that you would have to sit out a year if you transfer. Unless you moved.
PRIDE44 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I believe that you must be a Freshman or above and played any varsity sport. If you were under a Freshman and played a varsitysport you may still move and transfer, and not sit out. The Whetsell kid from Ashland played varsity basketball for Rose Hill and moved to Ashland this year and was elligable. So did the Kennedy kid from East Carter, and he was a Soph., but had not played any varsity sports at East Carter, but went to Rose Hill and played.
bluegrass09 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I believe Taylor Snyder of NCC was an 8th grader playing varsity for Bwood and then she decided to transfer to NCC. She played in her Freshman year and they won the All "A" State.
