Does anybody know where Regionals will be held this year? Last year they were at Florence Freedom, but I heard a rumor that they were getting a new field. Does anybody know what's going on?

Smith has actually been clocked in the low 90's. So I guess that's what all the hoopla is about. :sssh:

For Beechwood a man who goes on baseball without getting talked about is Bob Mullins. He is the JV coach at Beechwood and has developed all players for Myerhoff to win. And Myerhoff produces. I would say they are a great combination. JV coaches really go through seasons without gettin much respect for developing players so they can play for the varsity coaches.

I also heard that Jake Maricle(Starting tackle on football team) is making a comeback to basketball after a two year lapse. He will add some size to this team who will be lacking multiple big men. Look for him this coming season.

Beechwood isn't getting any love. I know Beechwood hasn't been talked about on the site but tnhey've beaten NCC, Highlands, HC. One loss to a NKY team was to HC in the all "A" but defeated them four days later for disctrict ranking.

I know Kyle Daniels started center for the JV last year.

Beechwood struggled at first. Going down 3-0 in the first inning by a 3-run HR by Sainola. But then battled back in the second when Highlands starting pitcher when down with an ankle injury. Not sure how sever but looked bad. Snyder went five innings giving up 5 runs but 2 or 3 were earned. Bertke came in to finish the final two innings.

Beechwood is 1-0 defeating Holy Cross.

Beechwood's haven't come in yet either.

My guess would be either Larimore or Bertke. Snyder is the main reliever and comes in to throw one or two innings. Also, I noticed Snyder was catching Smith. I'm not sure if this is for the remainder of the season or just a one time thing.

I believe his name is Nate Raw(?). He threw well enough to win but what it came down to was Smith. He was blowing past the NCC hitters. His curve ball was thrown for strikes from my angle, but the umpire called them balls and Smith recovered by sitting them the next pitch. Chas Hyde had a solo HR in the first inning to set the tone for the Beechies. Congrats Tigers! Go get the Indians!

AJ Smith has missed a start or two due to a sprained ankle. Josh Bertke of Beechwood has been pitching really good thus far.

Blissfield High School, a Michigan team. Beechwood lost 4-0 because they cannot drive runners in. They get the runners in scoring position but do nothing with them.

Good game for the Eagles, but was the second half of a double header for the Tigers.

Who did St. Henry draw?

In no way is this joking, but I think Maile has broken like 10 different batting records. The kid is a stud.

Larrimore threw 3 innings giving up one run on only one hit. Bertke threw one inning and Snyder also threw one inning. I cannot tell if Beechwood can actually hit and I'm not giving them credit or if the other team just doesn't have pitching. As of now Beechwood is averaging 17.5 runs per game. (In two games 24 and 13)

Did nobody post St Henry's roster on the NKY roster thread?

Also, Baker Prewitt of Beechwood(JV Player) has a torn a ligament in his elbow and he will probably be out for the rest of the season. Baker would have started 2B for the JV squad.

The ankle is not broken. A low ankle sprain, he will be out but not as long as many will think. I say he'll be back Friday at the earliest. A minor set back but better than a broken ankle.
