That is to bad and I really mean that, and a broken ankle can take a while to heal....

 

My guess, if it's a bad break, his season is over....Now I am not hoping for that, but for a pitcher to either push off of it, or land on it, (r/l ankle?) I wouldn't be rushing back too soon. My guess is MSU would want that ankle to be 100% before he throws, as it might affect his throwing motion, if he comes back and favors the ankle when throwing.... Luckily for him and Bwood it is early, but...... Good luck and prayers to him...

Generally speaking, I believe it's in the 6-week range, which might give him a chance to come back right near the end of the regular season. The problem is that he will not have thrown any/much during that period and the ankle will be weak upon returning, so likely would be unable to just jump on the mound and start throwing full-tilt again. That's a shame both for him and Beechwood. Best of luck.

The ankle is not broken. A low ankle sprain, he will be out but not as long as many will think. I say he'll be back Friday at the earliest. A minor set back but better than a broken ankle.

Also, Baker Prewitt of Beechwood(JV Player) has a torn a ligament in his elbow and he will probably be out for the rest of the season. Baker would have started 2B for the JV squad.
