Beechwood loses five seniors from their team that reached the region last season. Of that five, four were starters. Three of those kids played a key role in Beechwood's success the past couple of years under Rick Shumate. (Romes, Buettel, Snyder) I do think they have a strong group returning with Nick Hall and John Pohlgeers leading the pack. Their JV team has had some success the past couple of years. Tyler Fangman has the potential to contribute on the varsity level as a junior and they had two very strong Freshman last season in Cameron Vocke and Corey Cruse. Beechwood will be young but Shumate should have enough talent to win some games next season with this group.

Fangman has the potential to lead the 9th Region in 3-point shooting.

What kind of size does Fangman have, as well as the rest of the Tigers.

Beechwood will be small next year but will Corey Cruse be the starting center next year, because I dont see who else would.

I know Kyle Daniels started center for the JV last year.

I also heard that Jake Maricle(Starting tackle on football team) is making a comeback to basketball after a two year lapse. He will add some size to this team who will be lacking multiple big men. Look for him this coming season.

Kyle Daniels will definitely be a force in the paint next year....him and Cory Cruise will keep the tigers on track in the lane. They are constantly challenging each other up on the football field getting in shape for this coming season.

That worked out well for AJ Smith this past season but don't know if he will have quite the same surrounding cast.

Any chance Corey Crane comes back to the basketball court? He was a nice player thru the middle school ranks.

Definatly agree

:D

I would assume Kyle is Joe's younger brother. That family has produced some nice athletes through the years. I know the basketball team didnt have any football kids this year, will they have any next season?

If Shumate is back that is.......

He will be back. I know there is a job he is interested in but really has no chance at.

Cruise and Vocke play football as well as quite a few freshman. The question is will they remain in the program.
