Look for Kyle "Meat" Daniels to have a great season. I could see him being a potential 15 ppg and 10 rpg type player. Look for the Tigers to make another strong push towards a conference title and maybe more.

Tigers will be missing size inside. Unless someone new with size inters the program. Cruise will not be the answer inside. Kyle Daniels has a leg up on the job. Cory Crane could be the answer at the point. However both Kyle and Cory need work, they should be working on getting better all summer. Anyone have a update on their progress? Are either working on their game and playing AAU etc? Right now it looks like Crane (if he plays) at the 1; Nick Hall at the 2; Johnny P at the 3; Tyler Fangman at the 4; Kyle Daniels at the 5; I believe they will be fine against the single A teams. However going against bigger schools with size the Tigers will struggle. The 2 Sophmores mentioned above are good athletes and could get playing time. However both working on football and not playing basketball this summer, which could set them back.

I believe the line up looks like 1.Hall 2.Pohlgeers 3. Fangman 4. Daniels 5. Cruse. I look for Cruse to be close to 6'6 by the start of the season and playing football should put on some weight. Crane (if he plays) could add some speed and solid point guard off the bench, but I think he'll need some time to get his basketball feel back.

Crane if he plays will add some good point guard play but as for the center position, I think it is up in the air for what happens to Cruse this offseason.

I hope your right about Cruse being 6'6" and able to contribute with some size. I don't know if Hall is a true point guard I think of him more as a 2 guard. Who do you (bluegrass) think is the best ball handler and sees the floor the best?

I would say Crane. But Crane has been away from the game. I agree that Hall is more of a 2 guard, and not a true point guard. They won't have a true pg if Crane doesn't come, but that's the disadvantage of being at a small school like Beechwood and you just have to learn how to deal with that fact.

Fangman has the potential to lead the 9th Region in 3-point shooting.

Aruppster what do you know about the Fangman kid? Have you seen him play or heard about him? Is he playing AAU? Handy Manny says he is 6' 2" that sounds like decent size. Is he a senior?

I've seen him play at least a two dozen times. Reminds me of Larry Bird at the small high school level. Shoots the lights out, rebounds, good handle, a little slow.

Aruppster, you shouldn't be allowed in a gym if you ever compare Fangman or anyone else to Larry Bird!

Fangman should be a nice player for Beechwood in the years to come. I believe he will be a junior next year. From what I saw at the JV level nice shooter (no Larry Bird but who is!) As most kids though we will see how he adjusts to the speed of the Varsity level. Shumate will have him ready to play though.

"At the small high school level" is what I actually said...it was comparatively speaking of course

Coach 33 you sound like your a big fan of my man Larry Bird? He was a great player and was one of my favorites of all time.

How about Johnny Pohlgeers? Has anyone seen him over the summer?

Larry Bird is one of the greats of all time. Loved his shot and the way he played the game. I'll never forget the infamous steal on the inbound pass and the shot that followed. WOW!
