I look for CCH to win this. I expect them to beat every team in NKY. CCH-8 HHS-3

I am confident in BHS pitching staff. Except last year's CCH team put up 8 or so on Elliott so of course they can hit.

I think Isler and Smith will start the CCH BHS game. With Nutini and Snyder in relief. I think it comes down to Beechwood hitting. If they can put up 7 or 8 then it will be a close game. I'll probably be saying Bwood's hitting is going to hurt them all year until they see good pitching and handle it well.

Who is predicted to be on the mound? Koors(sp?) and Sainola?

I like Beechwood's pitching staff, it's the fielding and batting that worries me.

I know this might be sidetracking a little bit, but wasn't Bob Romes(the father) a really good basketball player back in HS and at the Collegiate level?

I could be wrong, but he didn't do much versus Beechwood in Regionals. The two people that killed Beechwood was Gabbard in the 1st half and McFarland in the 2nd half.

I know my call on Smith hitting 93 was a little crazy but a fan can hope.:thumb: But I believe Smith hit consistant 87 or 85 at the Bellevue Scrimmage. Give time for the arm to develop and we will see what he tops out at.

I can only hope so. More of a rebuilding year this year. Like the Beechwood team 2 years ago. All the seniors that graduated last year were just Juniors with the one or two varsity experienced players. Same goes for this team except with 3 seniors and have mostly Sophomores.

I believe that Gabbard will be the best PG. He had a great season this year, as did Pangallo. I'm not sure who NCC returns and Boone returns. But it's a toss up between those two.

Let's face it, Smith can pitch. Hitting is not one of his great attributes but if he continues to hit this season and the team puts up 3 or 4 runs per game look for Beechwood to be in the race.

Beechwood also returns their starting QB Rigdon.

I look to see NCC take this one. It's a good idea to intentionally walk Jones, he can be that one player who can impact a game by two or three AB's. I know it's a team game, but if the scores are low Jones can open the game up. He's a great ballplayer!

Beechwood really came to play today. Junior Joe Colosimo goes 4-4 with 7 RBI's and Sophomore Josh Bertke goes three innings and 1 ER. AJ "Chuckwagon" Smith hit a HR:ylsuper:

Holmes could put Ricardo at point and play Slusher who is about 6'3 and was solid in JV.

I will take HC in this one. Should be a good game though.

As for being a Beechwood fan, I would agree we are too high and that HC needs to be put higher. Beechwood lost too much talent and senior leaders.

Beechwood 5 and Bellevue 3. Jones goes 1-1 with HR and two walks. Chas Hyde also hit a HR, but not sure on how else he batted. Beechwood's pitching will either win or lose their season for them. Too many errors in the field for Beechwood.
