SV's Elisha Justice Garnering Attention
As bad as UK needs a point guard, I am surprised they haven't offered Justice or Vee Sanford.

Sweet Sixteen Point Guards
I still say Liggins leaves and Vee is our point guard next season.

Richie Phares torn ACL
Phares was the best post player in the state. Best of luck on a speedy recovery. I hope the colleges don't shy a way now and he can sign a DI scholarship!

Sweet Sixteen Point Guards
I watched the head-to-head matchup and it wasn't close between the two. Don't get me wrong Ethan is very good, but this time next year Justice will be even better.

State Redistricting Plan
The KHSAA and board of control has changed their minds on 3 team districts. They use to not want them. Now with all the consolidation, the KHSAA does not mind three team districts. You will more than likely see Fleming Co. and Lawrence Co. move regions next year.

Which School Will Bring the Biggest Fan Base?
Scott County will bring the most fans because they bought all the tickets up thinking they were going to be there for four games. Just adding a little humor to this thread.

Which School Will Bring the Biggest Fan Base?
Elliott didn't have too large of crowds at the All A

Russell County 65 Warren Central 57
Huge upset. Lafayette over Franklin County was just as big.
-
Bath County 59 Fleming County 45
The Fleming County job will be open. I look for Hicks to try and get out of Bath and move to Fleming.

Who will win the 12th Region?
12th region winner is this formula: Ozz Jackson (KHSAA board of control member for 14th region) + Jeff Jackson (brother to Ozz and Lincoln County's coach) + 14th region officials + region held at Lincoln County = Lincoln County 12th region champs!!!

Elliott County 89 Ballard 75
Good win Elliott. It would have been better if you would have played your 2 good opponents for the week on a neutral or visiting floor. Both teams had to travel out of their region to the 16th to a packed Sandy Hook gym and hostile territory.

State title contenders
If Eastern can make it out of the 7th, don't be suprised if they just keep on winning all the way to the finals while the bottom bracket is beating each other up. Then Eastern wins a close one on Sat. night to claim the big trophy.

Will Middleton be back for next game against Brossart?

Coaches Retiring, Leaving, Fired, Etc.
Elliott will be open, but next coach already decided Bath County will be open if Hicks gets a decent job offer because his players graduate. Ashland could be open and Jeff Hall bring his son, Cameron, back to play for Tomcats.

Coaches Retiring, Leaving, Fired, Etc.
Pike Central: #1 Choice Kelly Wells - Already said thanks but no thanks #2 Choice Allen Hatcher - Offer on table, but he is playing them to see what kind of money they will offer, but going to say no thanks when its all said and done #3 Choice Eddie Whitaker - In hopes he will bring his son with him, but he will say no thanks and stay put at Hazard. #4 Choice - The left overs, the administration think this is a highly sought after job and will find out when they look for a new boy's coach. Same thing happened last year when they ran their girl's coach off.

Australia teams vs. Oak Hill for example
Why does the KHSAA not allow Kentucky teams to play private teams from outside the state if they are not sanctioned (i.e. Oak Hill, prep schools, etc.)? On the other hand, they allow Kentucky teams to play Australia teams which are on summer vacation and usually made up of players on traveling AAU teams so to speak. This is not even the Australia's teams regular schedule. How does the KHSAA know or think that the Australia teams are sanctioned or if it is there regular high school team and not a traveling all star team on summer break. I don't understand the KHSAA's thinking on allowing one but not the other. We use to have some good matchups with Oak Hill. I hope I made sense on this matter.

Elliott County 77 West Carter 65
11 Ties and 9 lead changes. Elliott pulls away at the end. Great high school basketball game!

Sweet 16 and All A Classic Drawings?
Does anyone know when the tournament brackets will be drawn for the All A Classic and Sweet 16 state tournaments?
-
Fairview 71 Lawrence Co. 60
If Fairview would have kept Hall there, then they would have had a very nice high school team. Congrats on the great start to the season.

Paul Dunbar cancelling games?
Why is Paul Dunbar cancelling games against their top competition? I noticed on here that Dunbar cancelled with Shelby Valley and now Scott County this past Tuesday. I look on the scoreboard and see no make up dates posted. Is Paul Dunbar avoiding their best competition? Is their coach on the hot seat or something and need wins? Just wandering, but they are 4-0 with cancellations against 2 top ranked teams.

Waggener 81 Manual 70
Without Jacob Jenkins, Manual is a mediocre team in the 7th. They will be a lot better when he gets back from his injury.
