Without Jacob Jenkins, Manual is a mediocre team in the 7th. They will be a lot better when he gets back from his injury.

Manual's struggles continue without Jenkins. These types of losses just go to show how valuable he is to them.

Let's see. Manual was 9 - 2 without Kimbro including 2 - 0 against top 20 teams. Jenkins led in scoring, led in 3 pt shooting, 2nd in rebounding, 2nd in assists, 2nd in steals, and averaged 22 points per game in wins. Manual had an outstanding summer and won handily against North Hardin in the opener. Since then has dropped 2 games against Trinity and Waggener going 2 - 2. You tell us.

Sprained ankle and the swelling caused adema (water) around the ankle bone. Returns 100% in 4 to 6 days.

Jenkins is a great player, but I would think it will be hard for them to play with teams like J'town, Eastern, Ballard, etc unless other players are able to step it up.

Jenkins has a pretty good supporting cast at Manual, but they get overshadowed by him. Samsel is a very good guard and their big man (6'10 kid) is improving with every game.

The biggest areas Manual misses with Kimbro is his defense and rebounding. He played the power forward spot and rebounded extremely well. His long arms and agilities made him a versatile defender.

Jenkins is the leader of this team. While he is out with his injury, Manual's chemistry is a little out of whack. Samsel missed one game and is not playing at 100%, meaning Manual hasn't played with any consistant players on the floor for some time. Jenkins return should settle things down for Manual. It's still early in the season with alot of basketball to play. Hopefully, this stretch will make Manual stronger at the end of the year because of the experience some of the others picked up in his absence.
