The Lady Purples graduated a stellar senior class that went to Girls Sweet 16 back to back seasons and several of those laides are playing college basketball, it could be a rebuilding year in most fans minds but there is still plenty of talent in the cupboard.

The Lady Panthers will welcome their 3rd coach in 3 years and there 5th in 6 seasons

New coach coming in with Lex Lindsey moving over to the boys program

BG will roll !!! Defense is solid and offense is coming around

Dont know much about them other than Coach Upchurch usually gets the most out of his teams.

Metcalfe welcomes a new head coach for the first time in a long time in Edmonton. They graduated the twins that played in the post as well as the other tall post player and a guard. They do however return there pt guard and he will be relied on to shoulder a heavy load. They looked very young and struggled to put points on the board this summer.

Could be a rebuilding year for the Falcons, they graduated a big class and a class that made the 4th region tournmanet for the last two seasons.

Will be a much improved team, they return their core who has a few years varsity experience and this should be the year they get out of the #4 seed in district tournament. Certainly the #2 team in the 15th district and a team if they shoot it well capable of knocking one of the big 3 in the 4th region

Lost a strong senior class with a Mcdonalds All American but return a good young talented sophomore class. Just finished a strong summer with 2 wins over Glasgow who many think will be the preseason 4th region favorite, and wins at St X over Lou Eastern and Lou Central. 14th district will be te best it has been in awhile with Greenwood and Warren East returning the core of their teams and So Warren rebuilding and Warren Central returning a strong senior class.

Caldwell will be an athletic team that will be young from what I saw this summer

Well coached team who always plays hard, should be quicker than years past and have a good rotation of players, should "duke" it out with Russell County or district supremacy. Should be a top 5 team in 4th region by end of the year

Caverna will hit the re start button as they graduated alot of seniors who did alot for their team. They had a great campaign last season and made 5th region tournament for the first time since Coach Childress was there

Central lost to Bowling Green yesterday at male in St X shootout by 8 or 9 I don't know how they did in their other game

They seemed to have had a few tough years the previous few seasons. They have a new coach who is proven and should be able to compete in the district, it seems they shoud have a few kids returning from last year.

They are going through a coaching change for the first time in 4 years and graduated their entire starting lineup, it will be a few years before it cycles back, they should start a fairly young bunch at all positions so in a few years those kids will have varsity experiance

The ratings ended up how I thought they would, BG has more experience as Dragon Fire stated but its clearly a 2 team race in this region with the 3rd ranked team being 12-18 points below those two. A team I think alot of people are sleeping on and can make some noise is Monroe County, they return arguably the best point guard in the region in Keaton Rich and have the twins Cody and Kaleb Sheffield who have started for 3 years now. I beleieve the 13th district is a 2 horse race as always between Franklin and Russellville with that district only having 1 new head coach in Todd County with Calvin Head taking over, the 14th is a 2 horse race between Central and BG with the new high school South Warren being added with Coach Derrick Clubb, the 15th however is interesting because Monroe and Allen made the region tournament last year with Allen County winning the district. This year Allen, Monroe, or Glasgow could win it and most wouldnt be suprised if Barren slips in like 2 years ago to the region tournament, this district as well has all head coaches intact. The 16th district is interesting as well with Metcalfe fielding the best team they have since 2001 which coincidently was there last district title, Cumberland, Clinton, and Russell were all hit hard by graduation losses but return 3 solid head coaches and only losing Cumberland Counties coach to Bowling Green High School.

Greenwood was depleted with the new school opening in Warren County, plus they have a new coach not to mention they are in the same district with BG and Warren Central which doesnt bode well for them. But a few years back Greenwood wasnt the "flashy" pick but made it all the way to Rupp Arena.

Green Co. is well coached by Monroe Co. alumni Ashley Geralds. The had a good year and made it out of the district last year. They return a fairly young team and will still have a chance in the 5th Region "Class A" tournament and their district.

Leading scorer Cameron Hall graduated but the Scotties do return alot of talent in the Bradley boys and Parker Cash as well as a talented Sophomore class returns. The big thing is they should get out of the district this year something they havent done the last 2 seasons.

Behanan is best player in state hands down, won MVP at the Top 100 NBA camp this summer and played for a great AAU program out of Ohio.

Ill say it again, BG will not get scored on till they play Owensboro, several said they would this week but it didnt happen. I was at the game and the BG defense was very very tough !

Maybe the Rebels from Elkton can put up a good fight !
