While I definitely understand why you asked this question I can say it didn't hurt Elisha Justice and he was only getting a preferred walk on spot at the time. I'd hope that it doesn't but I guess we'll see.

Mr. Basketball is nice but if you have to go to UK to win it, then the award is sullied, and shame on the voters. Compared to making the right college decision, winning Mr. Basketball comes in a distant second, IMO.

Well a season has to be played yet but you have to admit the kid has three things not in his favor: in the western part of the state, signed with a school the other 119 counties in the state would rather say is in Indiana and played a portion of his high school years in Cincinnati. Also, did him or his reps get Cal to offer just to stage him up.....it is a question you have to ask and would make him less favorable across the state. I said for months it's a two horse race between TK and Stenzel so come next spring I will have to see how the prediction holds true!

Injuries aside, I still think Behanan is Mr. Basketball.

I agree that its a two horse race, but its Knipp and Behanan battling for it. After watching all the top players play togehter with the junior all-stars this summer and in AAU, I think Behanan is clearly the most talented player in the class with Knipp a distant second.

Long story I've gotten into some on here and I'm not going to air on a big day for the kid. I'll simply say once the family left Cincinnati a lot changed including the people handling his recruitment.

 

They are still looking for a power type big and are in on several very good ones. They did land a skilled face up 4 out of Memphis last week as well...
