Well a season has to be played yet but you have to admit the kid has three things not in his favor: in the western part of the state, signed with a school the other 119 counties in the state would rather say is in Indiana and played a portion of his high school years in Cincinnati. Also, did him or his reps get Cal to offer just to stage him up.....it is a question you have to ask and would make him less favorable across the state. I said for months it's a two horse race between TK and Stenzel so come next spring I will have to see how the prediction holds true!

Stenzel's team is too well rounded for him to have stats for Mr. Basketball.

Behanan is best player in state hands down, won MVP at the Top 100 NBA camp this summer and played for a great AAU program out of Ohio.

To be honest I'm glad this kid has came along, in regards to Mr. Basketball he will kinda let us know what the criteria is for an award were seemingly none of us know what the criteria is except you must be in the senior class. Does playing out of state during your high school career hurt you? Does playing in far flung parts of the state or far from the Lexington media market hinder your chances? How much is the signing with Kentucky or whatever particular school help or hurt the chances. Behanan will get alot of questions answered when you put him beside two Kentucky high school legends who have been on the scene for it seems like forever in Knipp and Stenzel.

Legends? Come on now Snappy...you're pushing it there.

 

No disrespect to either Stenzel or Knipp, but Behanan is far and above both in every facet of the game. When I think of Legends to play in Kentucky, I think of guys who went on to big programs and then to play pro ball. Knipp and Stenzel will have nice careers in college, but there's a reason they both ended up at EKU and not somewhere bigger.

 

Plain and simple, Mr. Basketball is Behanan's to lose. If he can get his team past Mr. Fant and Shanklin to get to Rupp, his talents will be on full display in Rupp and you'll finally see why the kid is hyped he way he is. Chane has the opportunity to eventually play in the league some day.

Long story I've gotten into some on here and I'm not going to air on a big day for the kid. I'll simply say once the family left Cincinnati a lot changed including the people handling his recruitment.

 

They are still looking for a power type big and are in on several very good ones. They did land a skilled face up 4 out of Memphis last week as well...

In all seriousness, I'm very excited about Octavious. I believe he plays on the same Memphis Select team as 2012 big man Jarnell Stokes? Or same program, atleast?
