  1. Not a reasonable comment. Clark always played hard. I thought he had good shot selection early in the game, they just weren't falling. Clark would have benefited by slowing down a little on the chest pounding, but it was never over the top all season. I thought Setty giving the MC student section the chop after he hit a 3 was pretty cool. Why should a "player" have to listen to MC's "player haters" the whole game. I must say that the students were allowed to get pretty aggressive on one of the officials once, he handled like a pro and got the principal involved to calm it down some. Setty hit the 3's and did the chop once toward the crowd...he deserved the right to do it once.
  2. I didn't percieve it as a tongue lashing. When the kid pushed back when he patted him on the back Stull simply should have let it go. Then maybe gestured something later or after the game. Probably a bad move on Stull's part to continue and certainly pat him on the head during a heated moment. I think Coach G was simply coaching and hopefully teaching him something for the future. Sometimes you have to let things "come to you".
  3. This makes sense to me. This issue appears clear. It was either a two year deal or it wasn't. However, both of these teams probably have a tough time with scheduling. The only teams looking play either of these teams will be other quality opponents. If either one of them were looking to get out of the game, and I'm not saying they were in this case, but they are most likely going to end up playing another quality opponent regardless. LC lost 5 games and won the state.
  4. Good point. Sounds like the athletes need to play for their school, no matter what the sport. I think it would be great for school spirit to see players play all the sports they can and make the school as successful as possible.
  5. Quite the matchup for Johnson County, should be a fun game. I would have to go with Paintsville since we talking basketball. Nice coaching job by JC's first year coach.
  6. Nice win for the Indians.
  7. I'll take the Indians. Obviously, HC has put together two great games. The DREAM is over. The experience of being in the tournament will prove to have great value in this one.
  8. Griesser has his team ready. It won't be a walk in the park, Scott is hungry. MC wins this one.
  9. Certainly, if you want to go 3-7, by the way, that stands for 3 wins and 7 losses.
  10. I can see that as well, possibly 8-2, tough district competition. Who does MC have at the RB's?
  11. Interesting thought, perhaps the KHSAA is concerned they didn't do enough and they just want it to go away. Possibly, the view is "we cut you a break, take your punishment and don't drag us through the mud with you". KHSAA didn't exactly jump all over this situation. I hear it just got so out of hand, they had to step in. Why else would they wait to game 8?
  12. I know several weeks back, Montgomery high/lowed Mason right out of the gym. No disrepect to Cline or Chambers, Prewitt and/or Lee have the entire package. Prewitt's floor smarts are as good as having a coach on the floor and Lee is tough as nails. In addition, Jelik is far from out of sync, she has had some foul trouble lately, but she is going to be the real deal. I hate it for Mason and their players. Fact is, they came around at a bad time. Montgomery just has too much size. They can work inside or they shoot the three. Mason has plenty of heart and they will play to the end, I am sure of that. But, I can't see it happening for them tomorrow.
  13. The players that tip the scale for MC are Clark, Stull and Rash. If these three rebound and score the game usually goes well. Stephens can tip the scale, he is 6'8" and is wide. I would really enjoy watching him play with great mental focus. Senior day has come and gone, its time.
  14. People have been posting for months that Mt. Sterling businesses have promised to make up the "presumed" shortfall from the tourney. I can't imagine this being further from the truth. While it may seem reasonable this could happen, there are many unknowns. Such as weather, the tourney could have less attendance at Mason Co. just as easy as Mt. Stelring. So what amount would a business be responsible to make up. Last years profit, a three year average? Lets remember the distict voted for the location. Do you actually believe Montgomery Co. had to cut a financial deal in order to host the sacred 10th region tourney?
  15. I would agree. 100% TEAM coach. All about the program and school.
  16. Its almost like your earlier post about it not being just about the participant schools....I didn't realize the 10th region tournament was only for 10th region fans. Like I said earlier, the numbers are very good thus far.
  17. I would think he would move to Rowan in a heartbeat. I would consider the talent base to be better year and year out and its a much larger school.
  18. Right, I'm certain the fieldhouse would have been packed out for Mason v. Deming. Obviously, Montgomery fans are not average. We weren't going to spend 2 hours and $5 to watch a 20 loss team, even if our home boys were playing them. Unless you are a parent, what was the point in watching. I did watch it. It looked like a 20 win team beating a 20 loss team. Much like everyone expected.
  19. Pendleton was 7-20, there was no drama to be had. No anticipation on anyones part. This game was over when the bus pulled out of Pendleton Co. Don't get me wrong... loved the team and your coach. But, the average fan wasn't going to leave their house for this one.
  20. Or, God doesn't care about the 10th region tourney.
  21. Numbers have been pretty good thus far.
