Didn't get to stay around for this one, but sounded like Scott was extremely uptight early and Montgomery prounced on it....

 

I think most had Mason and Montgomery as the top two in Region 10 in preseason... should be a fun matchup.... If Stevens has a big night, Montgomery has a shot IMO...

 

I think Scott is another team that is a serious contender for a region title next year... scrappy team... solid coach... I look forward to seeing how they progress....

I guess a lot of those posters did know what they were talking about with a wide margin of victory with MC playing on their home court (never make guarantees in sports, SirMix). Congrats to MC and good finish for Eagles with a bright future for next season.

Lol I guess I had that coming but I don't think I guaranteed a win or anything... I definitely thought it would be a closer game by the way we had been playing lately, we were just out manned tonight. Congrats to

Montgomery, they are a solid team and a lot more athletic than I thought, 10 is a gamer and Stephens is a big boy. Congrats to my Eagles on a fine year winning the districts and being a regional semi finalist is nothing to hang your head on and a solild starting point for a team that should be very game ready and experienced next year. They should be primed for a great run next year. Congrats to Jordan, Ryan and Aaron for a great senior year, and starting the process for the success of the Eagles next year.

Montgomery got out to a 22-2 lead! Anybody have stats?

 

Montgomery County jumped ahead with the games first 8 points and it was not until 5:49 left in the first quarter before Scott scored. At that point Montgomery turned up the defensive pressure and turned Scott over numerous times and fueled a 14-0 run to jump ahead 22-2 from the 5:49 mark until Scott scored their 4th point with 49 seconds left in the quarter to go ahead 22-4. Montgomery County shot 15-20 in the first half for 75% and near 60 percent from 3 point range in that half.

 

Just like the first half for Montgomery and their 14-0 run, Scott comes out of the locker room and starts a 16-4 run of their own but really never got any closer in the 2nd half than 13 points. The 14-0 run sucked all the gas out of the Eagles at the end. Scott is not a fast paced team, averaging 56 points a game on the season so Montgomery County did a good job getting them into their flow of the game. Hendrix with 17, Stull with 16, 2 other starters with 12 apiece to lead the Indians. Turnover department was pretty even, something like 21 to 19 Scott with the larger number.
