Score was 41-26 Rock with just over 6 minutes left. Pulaski would just not quit! Eastham had 4 TD passes. Abner had 2 rushing & 2 receiving for PC. McQueen had a Kick return for a TD. PC ran 1 offensive play in the entire 1st quarter & it was tied at 14. Rock looked shell-shocked after PC tied it up late. The final TD pass from Eastham to Abner was on 4th & 7 from the Rock 40. PC proved tonight they can play with anyone! So proud of those kids for not giving up! This team is getting dangerous as it gets closer to district play. They MUST get off the field on 3rd down though. I think the only time all night they stopped rock was on the last series. With it being the UNITE Bowl, MVP awards were given out.Mason Flynn was named defensive MVP, Alex Abner offensive. Way to go guys!!! Now, get ready for Barron Co!!!

May be a continuous running clock in the 2nd half. Somerset will score early & often and exact revenge on last year's playoff loss 56-6.

I think it will come down to PC stopping the ROCK running attack, as it does with every team. AND can ROCK stop PC's high powered offense? Probably the best half of football in Hines' tenure last Friday night. Russell is definitely not ROCK, but PC should put up points. This one should be a classic!

The offense was just way too much. Great to see Brannon Wheeldon get his 1st varsity TD tonight. Also had 100 yards on only 5 carries. Haste ran well as did Abner. Showed no ill-effects from the concussion with 3 TDs. Eastham spread the ball to 6-7 different receivers and had 3 passing TDs. Shepperd had 2 receiving TDs in the first quarter. PC defense was stout tonight. Babies gave up some yards & points in the second half, but it was complete domination by the Maroons.

Had Somerset winning this one, but that score blows me away!! Coach Lucas has team flat out rolling! I don't see a team left on this schedule with a chance in the regular season. Somerset will roll to 10-0. Congratulations to those young men.

I noticed Jonathon Floyd was out for a while Friday night against Henry Clay. How is he doing? Will he be able to play this week?

Actually, by rule, a team must be on the playing surface when the 3 minute clock is started or it is a penalty. Which means they have to be on the field before the first 15 minutes runs out. I learned that one from an official at the Ray Correll Bowl this year.

Maroons defense looked real good. Corbin had trouble moving the ball all night. If memory serves correctly, Maroons picked off Corbin twice & recovered 2 fumbles on the night.

They did not travel with their freshmen or JV team. When PC traveled there for this years scrimmage, they had over a 100 kids dressed. So they brought just Varsity players.

Eastham was on target ALL night long. This kid is for real! Had 4 drops, 2 for TDs. He not only threw the ball with accuracy, he broke some ankles running it as well! And you can not say enough about Sean Haste. This kid came in & proved he can carry the load for the Maroons. District games start October 2nd. With Eastham running the show, Haste in the backfield, Abner being cleared to play, & the addition of Brian Barnett coming off the foot injury, PC will be tough to handle. Though E. Jess. racked up yards on the ground, PC'd defense is getting better. The Jags are going to run on just about anyone they play this year. Congratulations to the PC Maroons on a HUGE win! The first of many I'm sure.

Nice to see Somerset in there. They have been through a lot the last month or so. This team could be dangerous!

Just another CLASSIC in this Rivalry! Pulaski's QB, Zack Eastham played a great game! He was stopped on the 1 yard line on 4th & goal from the 15 with 12 seconds left. Pulaski started the drive on its own 8 with just over 3 minutes to go. Hope everyone is ok after this one. Muse & Abner for PC, and Nelson for SHS.

It's hard to rack up yards when they aren't there to rack up. PC started beyond it's own 35 most of the night. Add the 99 TD return by R.C. White, P.C. really didn't have the chance to rack up big yards. Credit NL for controlling the ball and keeping it away from the Maroons. Offense will be fine. It's the "D" that has to really step up. Bad news for PC, they lost... Good news for PC, it doesn't mean a thing in the grand scheme of the season. The Maroons only have to win 4 games in their schedule to win a District Title. I'm sure they will be at work this afternoon getting prepared for the next game. Working on the good stuff, fixing the bad.

Is Jackson going to be in the line up this week? I heard he had been hurt. That would be a major blow to Somerset if he can't go.

The Maroons must show up focused! Put all the controversy aside & get after it. They MUST cut down on penalties as well. North will be better than people think, just not good enough to handle the Maroons. PC 42 NL 20

Over matched pretty much explains it. They were bigger, stronger, faster, and a LOT more of them. If there is a better non-private in 6A I would like to see them. Henry Clay is very good!

Whitley and Pulaski scrimmaged last year, and ended up facing off in the playoffs.

He is one of them. Barnett is the other. Abner is listed as B back, Barnett is A.

If this team stays healthy it can compete with the 2003 team. More TEAM speed than that team even though Denham was lightning quick. NO ONE will EVER come close to Cole Draughn as a football player @ PC!! This team has speed, depth, experience, and most of all HUNGER!!! You can see it in practice every day. Some bad news tonight though. Starting running back Brian Barnett broke a bone in his foot. Gonna be out six weeks. Missed all of last season with a broken bone in his other foot. Hope he comes back to finish his senior year!

Please avoid these songs I love a rainy night Cottoneyed Joe Our PA guys plays these, and let me tell you, they do not set the mood for a football game. Makes me sad to see all these great songs being mentioned and not played at our games ( including the ones mentioned by me!)
