Hearsay needs music suggestions

Featured Replies

Our good friend Hearsay will be covering PA duties for an area school this fall, and needs suggestions for music to use.

We both agreed that only one tune was off-limits, and that was the extremely, utterly, unconscionably awful "Thunderstruck," by AC/DC.

I'm a big fan of Silent Night at football games. :D

"Take Five " Dave Brubeck

Shinedown

"The Sound of Madness"

"Breaking Inside"

Three Doors Down

"It's Not My Time"

Nickleback

"Rockstar"

"Too Bad"

Aerosmith

"Sweet Emotion"

I'm kind of separating by gametime genre:

Pre-game, fans arriving music

Team warmups music

Team entry music

Timeout tunes

Halftime music

Postgame departure music ("Another one bites the dust," "We are the Champions," et. al.)

Help me out folks!

It's always been my philosophy that music should be catered to the fans when there are no players on the field, such as pre pre-game and halftime.

As far as pre-game and fans arriving music, you can't lose with Motown classics.

When the players hit the field, maybe something catered to them.

TV theme songs are always popular for timeout tunes. Believe it or not, one of the most popular songs I played during a basketball timeout was the Spongebob Squarepants theme

James Brown "I Feel Good"

Billy Idol "Rebel Yell"

2 Unlimited "Get Ready for This"; "No Limit"; "Tribal Dance" ( I am not really a 2 Unlimited fan but their music works well in PA.)

Elvis "Shake, Rattle and Roll"; "Rip it Up"

Disturbed "Indestructible" (Your players will probably like that one during warm-ups.)

Those are some that may work for you. I will try and post more later.

I love Thunderstruck!:madman:

Me too, but Jim is, less then a rabid AC/DC fan.

I am very, very sorry for that.

Just what AC/DC became after Bon Scott died. The early stuff is fantastic (although I tried to deny it for years).

Anything about Tigers, or purple?

Jim's gonna smack me but this one's probably going to be in there:

Thundestruck may be the ultimate football warm up song.
