I like a little Guns-N-Roses for football. Someone already mentioned "Welcome to the Jungle" which is perfect, but I also like "Sweet Child of Mine."

What about a little Led Zeppelin "Kashmir"? It may be a little slower than I'd like for a football song, but the music itself is quite...hmmm....can't come up with the right word. Let me think on it.

"November Rain" For late in the season.

Some times you can theme some of your songs to your opponents.

 

Cowboy Troy's, "I play Chicken with a Train" if the opponent has a rail road based mascot (ie..Engineers)

Elvis', "Hound Dog". This song is especially good for Corbin (Redhounds) vs Somerset (Briar Jumpers), as a line goes "You ain't never caught a rabbit and you ain't no friend of mine"

A little dated (mid-80's), but check out "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Ryder. You might be familiar with it from the movie 'Vision Quest.' It is a outstanding song.

 

I second "Eye of the Tiger" and also check out "Playing With the Boys" by Kenny Loggins off the 'Top Gun' soundtrack.

Postgame departure music ("Another one bites the dust," "We are the Champions," et. al.)

 

Help me out folks!

 

Pre-game- Play what you like. No one's really going to be paying attention. How bout some "Voodoo Child" by Hendrix of something.

 

Team Entry- Maybe something with a spoken intro before the Music Starts. Like someone suggested, Wrestling Themes work well. I would go with something that is pretty heavy but not overused. (I loved when Russell did "In the Air Tonight", but it may be a lil' overused now). Maybe some of the heavier Zakk Wylde/Black Label Society stuff. Or maybe ask the players what kinds of stuff they would like to listen to during warmups.

 

Timeouts- I'd go with something loud. Some Kiss or something.

Half-time- your choice. I like when they play really random things.

After the game- The good stuffs overused here IMO. What about the school fight song?

I saw something on ESPN NFL Films where the players were talking about this song as one of their favorite pre-game warmup tunes.

 

Ray Lewis was one of the players. I wish I could remember the rest.

 

I think this one is a good choice.
