2009 Pulaski County

What does Pulaski County need to do to improve in 2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Improve at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. And I think they will, alot of good young linemen waiting to get in there and prove themselves. It should be a better team than the 08 squad.PC will have a good mix of vets and pups to make a strong run.

To improve this season, the Maroons will need to start games with the intensity that tey ended games with towards the end of the 08 season. I also believe they should keep playing hard nose smash mouth football on both sides of the ball, this should help the Maroons continue with their success into the upcoming years.

Don't the Maroons have a lot of starters returning this year?

Maroons lose 6 total players from 2008, only 3 starters. They should be pretty good in 2009.

Both sides of the ball start & end up front for Pulaski. The Maroons MUST get more physical up front. With the linemen they get back from injury to go along with the others getting bigger & stronger, PC could be dangerous this year. They are completely loaded at skill positions, just need to get the front line shored up.

What does the Maroon Schedule look like this year? Any good out of District games?

Out of District games are North Laurel, Somerset, East Jessamine, Russell Co., Barren Co., and Rockastle Co.

Slink, I was talking to a very good friend that is a PC Parent. He said the thought around the program was that this was the best Pulaski team EVER. I guess things are coming together pretty good up on the north side of town, is that how you see it as well?

The potential is there. We will see. They will find out more about theirselves after they scrimmage Henry Clay.

I don't think they will be better then the 2003 Team. Cole Draughn and Jonathan Denham were studs who led the way!

If this team stays healthy it can compete with the 2003 team. More TEAM speed than that team even though Denham was lightning quick. NO ONE will EVER come close to Cole Draughn as a football player @ PC!! This team has speed, depth, experience, and most of all HUNGER!!! You can see it in practice every day. Some bad news tonight though. Starting running back Brian Barnett broke a bone in his foot. Gonna be out six weeks. Missed all of last season with a broken bone in his other foot. Hope he comes back to finish his senior year!
