I thought Abner was the RB?

 

He is one of them. Barnett is the other. Abner is listed as B back, Barnett is A.

I truely hate to hear about Barnett, I hope he makes a speedy recovery and get back to finish SR. year. We lost a Senior and a couple of others along the way last year and it's tough for the kids, especially if they can't make it back by the end of the season.

NO ONE will EVER come close to Cole Draughn as a football player @ PC!!......

 

Really?!? You don't think Muse is CLOSE to him. I'm not trying to start anything but,. Cole was a great player no doubt, but Chris is a pretty darn good player in his own right. It is a choice of Brute Force or Speed when it comes to these two running QB's. While Draughn may or may not be the best ever, Muse is also in the discussion for best ever at PC. Just my opinion from the other side of the bypass.

Both are very or were very good-I would take Muse just because of the speed and he also plays defense. Draughn was a beast to try and tackle but Chris can make you look silly in the open field.

Henry Clay is young this season. They have as much speed on this team as I have seen in Kentucky High School football.

Coach Simpson has been quoted as saying this is the fastest team he has ever had at Henry Clay.

Draughn had an absolute bazooka for an arm and could run. I swear to you that I saw him throw a ball in the Cumberland Valley Bowl several years ago that traveled 65+ yards in the air, ... and just slightly overthrew his receiver. He was also a very adept runner. He was one of the best QB's I have seen play in HS. His height is all that kept him from being a D1 prospect IMHO. Great arm, very accurate, and made solid decisions.

 

Pure speed, you have to take Muse hands down. Very elusive and can make big plays with his legs as well as his arm. As a QB, I would probably have to take Draughn. As an athlete, I would definitely take Muse, and that is no knock on Draughn, ... Muse is just that good of an athlete.

 

Either way, PC fans should be thrilled that they have had 2 kids of that caliber playing QB for them. Special players. :thumb:

Didn't get to coach Draughn as I was coaching elsewhere, but, Chris is a special player, as are a few of our others. Glad to be at Pulaski Co. with as fine a man as Johnny Hines and the other coaches.
