I said Abner STARTED at TE for PC in the scrimmage. Which he did. PC moved several kids around during the scrimmage. Eastham looked rusty on the first couple of drives, but got better as the scrimmage went on. Overall the Maroons didn't look the best against Marion. They had trouble moving the ball on Marion's D and looked way out of sync. Marion had a lot of kids out and had good speed. Anthony Epps has them excited over there this year.

Abner started at TE in the scrimmage. They used him for his blocking ability. Looks like he may not play much offense this year. PC had 5 kids sit out of the scrimmage. Jarrod Flynn has been released from the Dr and should be back on the field shortly after being burned in an incident over the summer. It will be nice to have him back with the Maroon family.

I spoke with him last night. Dr. told him he should make a full recovery with no scarring. He has to stay inside and out of the sun for now. He said he is hoping to be released by the first day of school(Aug 11th). We look forward to seeing him back with us and on the field this year.

Whomever comes out of this District will have to earn it! No pushovers. The entire Region seems tough this year, top to bottom.

So, the other comments made by jericho were a "compliment"? "PC players and coaches already have a better than anyone attitude, along with 99% of their fans. So it isn't unrealistic to expect PC to win the region. But that is as far as they will get due to the Bluebirds". I didn't see them as such. All you have to do is go look at all of his comments made on PC posts and know it was definitely NOT meant as a compliment.

What kind of experience do they have coming back? They have a good group of young players coming. Could be some fun times at South this year.

Jericho is a stirrer. There is not a Pulaski thread on this board that he has not tried to hijack. No one on here has a better-than-everyone attitude. Yes, we at Pulaski are very excited about the upcoming season, who isn't? Unlike what Jericho claims, the players, coaches, and fans are respectful to other teams and their fans. Every team has a few fans that make their team look bad(jericho), and I am sure Pulaski is no different. Hey Jericho do 99% of players, fans, and coaches work with you? Did you contact each one of them personally and conduct a poll to come up with that number? I do take personal offense to the players attitude comment Jericho! Have you ever talked to a player on Pulaski's team? Zack Eastham, Alex Abner, Logan Joseph, Mason Flynn, Steven McQueen? These are some the nicest, most respectful kids you will have the pleasure meeting. That's just to name a few. So, you can continue to stir and make your condescending remarks toward PC. We will continue to work hard and get ready for the football season ahead.

That is going to be a very good game! Harlan County is going to be a very good team this year, and should contend for the district title. There are NO easy wins out there.

Pulaski is expected to show up and play their best in every game, not overlook anyone, and most of all have a lot of fun playing the game of football. As for every team in the state, Pulaski's ultimate goal is to win a state championship. They will be a District and Region contender this year.

At Marion August 6. Not sure, probably 7pm. At Boyle August 13th.

Pulaski will scrimmage Marion County and Boyle County before the season opener in the Correll Bowl vs Harlan County. The Bowl game should be a very good one. It will be a test for the Maroons defense right off the bat.

First, I want send out prayers and a get well soon to Jarred Flynn and his family. Jarred was burned in an accident late in the week. He will be going to the burn unit in Lexington Monday. I hope we get to see him back on the field this year! As for this season, NOTHING is easy. It will take a lot of hard work and the right attitude to get back to semi-state. Unlike last year, Pulaski will not overlook anyone I am sure. If Pulaski stays healthy they have an excellent chance of hosting the semi-state game this year.

What's the schedule look like this year? Have they made a decision on what game will be played first in the Correll Bowl this year? I know there was flip in games last year due to travel time for Harlan County. This year Harlan County plays Pulaski and Somerset plays Southwestern. Just wondering who will play first.

They must do the same things they were doing at the end of last year. The team really gelled in the post-season. QB Zack Eastham will be even better this year than last, if that's possible. Add in a 100% healthy Alex Abner out of the backfield and the core of receivers Pulaski has and this is a dangerous team in 2010! One to look for on defense is LB Mason Flynn. This kid is 6'/ 6'1 225lbs and has a legitimate shot at passing Tyler Stone's mark for career tackles as a Maroon. Buckle up Maroon fans, it's going to be another fun ride!

For Campbellsville's sake, let's hope no other job is still open in Kentucky. They could be looking for a new coach in July or August.

Seems to me any team in the same side of the bracket as Highlands. There have been some very good teams who have had their season end at the hands of the Blue Birds.

Of course, as with all situations, it also depends on who the kid is, how good he/she is, and who Mommy and Daddy know. I know they did adopt a rule at one time(10-12 years ago) in the PC school system that said if you transferred for ANY reason you had to sit one year. A couple of kids moved during the season to play for the other school, then went back after the season was over. Obviously that rule is no longer in effect.

Not sure on schools recruiting him, but he does have some very good receivers back. PC loses R.C. White, Jordan Walden, and Mikey Shepperd at the receiver position. I look for Steven McQueen to be his #1 this year, as well as Alex Abner out of the backfield. Cody Wesley will be a big target for Eastham as well. There are more receivers coming that will step in and contribute. As Eastham's numbers show, he doesn't discriminate, his favorite receiver is the open receiver.

Eastham is 6'1 205lbs. He is special.

He will be a senior in 2010. We are blessed to have 2 of the best in the mountains playing less than a mile apart. I look for bigger years for each player. With Zach having a full spring and summer to run this offense he is going to be scary good. May be best QB ever out of PC. Manning has his weapons back and should put up even bigger numbers this season. I look for great seasons from both SHS and PC in 2010.

#44 Tyler Stone from Pulaski signed with Lindsey Wilson College this past week. Congrats to this fine young man! I am sure that LWC is getting a fierce competitor and a nice football player. Good kid to boot!
