I heard BW's waterboy has really been working hard in the offseason. Put on 30 pounds. Just like the basketball players.

If any of the other threads are true, they are taking the best waterboy talent from Independence and adding to their roster, I bet this year BW will be able to hydrate the entire team in less than 20 seconds. They may not be big, but they are athletic!

In order for your idea to become effective, you will need to submit a proposal to the Kentucky High School Waterboys Association prior to the annual delegates meeting. It will need to be adopted by at least 2/3 of the delegates. If it is, it then goes to the Board of Flood Control. If the BOFC approves it, it then goes to the Administrative Review and Regulation Subcommitee of the Corps of Engineers, which has (or thinks it has) authority over all water in the United States (even a blooming rain puddle). Only then can the rivertown waterboys be split from the non-rivertown waterboys. My suggestion to the non-rivertown waterboys is that they not hold their breath waiting for the split to be approved and that they immediately start just working harder.

I hear he's also being tapped, by certain down-state programs, for advice on what it is that makes Highlands' waterboys so special and how their effectiveness can be neutralized.

 

Of course, there are a few programs that don't even need waterboys. The players just stand at the 50 and the water comes right up to them. This works especially well at playoff time.

I don't even know who the HHS waterboy is but what I do know is that he's FAST.

Dale was recently quoted as saying, "Those young men are just SO fast and they try SO hard! It's just a pleasure to come in here and see these guys work day in and day out. I can honestly say that this is the best group of athletes we've ever had at the waterboy position. Did I say how great these guys are?"

The FTJWbL (Fort Thomas Junior Waterboy League) apparently is a great feeder system.

I heard theOldguy talking the other day about how great Cov. Cath's waterboys were when Mote was the Coach.

 

Actually one Mr. Jack Bogaczyk turned his four years as a CovCath team manager into a four year scholarship to the University of Kentucky in the school of Journalism and Jack was a UK basketball team manager to boot. Jack started to write articles for the CovCath HS newspaper but when CovCath went on the road playing games all over the Commonwealth Jack called in his accounts of the games to the the Ky Post and after a while because of his quality of writing the Ky Post even gave him his own by line.....Jack now writes for the Charleston Daily Mail
