November 19, 201114 yr Orton threw 9 TD's and 13 INT's his first year in Chicago. The defense is what saved that team. They did go 10-5 that year but it wasn't Orton leading the team back. Tebow has done something that Orton cannot do. Avoid turning the ball over. What impressed me the most was the fact that he did it against a really good Jets defense.

Orton made the defense play better! I mean think about it Tebow would have never even gotten a shot to win the games at the end if it was not for the defense playing so great. So I mean can't say it was all the defense in Chicago, and not say that also has played a big part in Denver. If the defense had sucked the last 4 weeks, then Tebow couldn't pull off anything at the end of the game becuase they would never even be in the game. Defense keeps them in the game while Tebow does nothing the first 3 and a half quarters. I give Tebow credit because he has made plays when it has counted. However lets not say he is also a winner in the NFL when there has been a very small sample size. There has been other QB's such as Orton whom he replaced who started off winning a lot of games when he joined the Bears, and in Denver but that didn't mean he was a winner. Tebow was a winner in HS, and in college, however so were a lot of QB's. However we don't know if he will be a winner in the NFL yet. So to early to say he is a "winner." However I was rooting for him this past week!
November 19, 201114 yr It is beyond that. Tebow inspires his teammates to play better. Regardless of what other opinions people may have, that fact cannot be overstated and should not be taken lightly. He inspires them to play better because right now they are winning. I mean even his receivers didn't believe in him when he first started starting and the comments they made. However winning gets people to be inspired. With that said They very easily could have lost every game he has started too! Do you think they still would be inspired by him if they were losing? I mean he could be saying the same things, but if they were losing they wouldn't be as inspired. All it would take is a small losing streak for them to stop being inspired, and a small losing streak could easily happen.
November 20, 201114 yr Outstanding pass rusher and horrible against the run? That made me laugh hahaha.
November 20, 201114 yr That made me laugh hahaha. I couldn't help it. God rest his soul, but Derrick Thomas is one of the most overrated players in NFL history. He was downright useless against the run.
November 20, 201114 yr That's not a fact. That is your opinion. According to his teammates it IS a fact.
November 21, 201114 yr I don't think that Tebow will ever be considered an elite QB (i.e. Marino, Montana, Young, Elway). I also really don't think the guy will ever win a Super Bowl. However, I do think the guy will be a consistent winner. I am sure he will have 6-10 seasons or worse throughout his career, but I think he will be a solid 9-7 to 10-6 QB over the course of his career. All the NFL passing records will be safe from Tebow and he maybe the next 1,000yd rushing QB once he becomes a starter for a whole season. The guy's mechanice are terrible, but when it comes down to it, he will complete the passes he needs to and will run for the yards he needs to, to produce victories for the Broncos or whichever team he may play for. BTW....I Tebowed after posting this!!
November 22, 201114 yr Author Elway was asked this week if he felt the Broncos qb of the future is currently on the roster. He said "no."
November 22, 201114 yr ^He's got to be hoping and praying he gets traded. You could see it on Elway's face when Tebow won the game Thursday night....He was mad they were going to win. Elway and Fox are intentionally trying to make Tebow look bad, and trying to lose games with the garbage offense they're running.

I agree they are hoping to use any success he's had to improve interest in other teams. ZERO chance they're trying to lose and they "garbage offense" they are running is the ONLY way Tebow can be successful. He cannot win in an offense that is centered around a passing game.
November 22, 201114 yr He did last year...:idunno: They are absolutely trying to lose. Did you see Elway's face when Tebow scored the winning TD?
November 22, 201114 yr Pretty simple. If they wanted him to fail they would drop him back and throw it 40 times a game. If they demanded them to lose, there's no doubt in my mind that John Fox would resign on the spot. Any coach with cajones would.
November 22, 201114 yr Author He did last year...:idunno: They are absolutely trying to lose. Did you see Elway's face when Tebow scored the winning TD? They have put him in the best offense to give the Broncs a chance to win. Period. Yes, I even commented that ol' Elway looked less enthusiastic than the fans. You cannot be a strong franchise with TT as your QB.
