September 21, 201115 yr Author UK blocking UL admission into the conference is a fallacy. The SEC is slow playing things right now. I think Mizzou is the current target. In my opinion, I think the SEC is targeting two ACC schools with a possible look of going to 4 divisions of 4 teams. Who exactly are they targeting? I think the top two would be Virginia Tech and NC State. Two new footprints and are better fits than anyone else. The 20 million dollar buyout is only 7 mill more than what it was before. Thats a drop in the bucket considering what money will be coming in the future.

VA Tech I could see and understand but NC State is part of Tobacco Road. I really don't see any of those leaving the ACC, ever.

They are a state school in North Carolina within a short ride to the other three. It would be akin to Ole Miss leaving the SEC. Founding member with old heritage but I don't see them leaving.
