June 3, 201115 yr I think they were insane going 1 v 1 on Nowitzki. You can't let him get to the rim like that.
June 3, 201115 yr Great comeback by the Mavs, historic in fact. Pathetic close to a game by Miami. I am in shock, but Miami thought they had the series won when they were up 15 and Dallas has become the master of crazy, last minute comebacks this postseason.
June 3, 201115 yr Multiple multiple terrible possessions by Miami down the stretch that resulted in long jumpers.
June 3, 201115 yr Lebron with two off balanced threes at the end of the game. Can't think of many times MJ did that.
June 3, 201115 yr Dirk is so clutch. Love the guys game. Miami forgot that there are 48 minutes in a game. Nice win.
June 3, 201115 yr While Dallas did their part to comeback and get the win, the Heat just flat out blew this game. They basically handed it to Dallas. You have guys like Wade, James, and Bosh and the Heat settle for jumpers. That's ridiculous and they deserved to lose that game. The Heat is still the better team and I look for them to rebound and win game 3 in Dallas.
June 3, 201115 yr Multiple multiple terrible possessions by Miami down the stretch that resulted in long jumpers. Agreed. The only shot that wasn't a jumper after the Heat celebrated like they won the title with 7 minutes left was LBJ's drive to the basket where he tried to get cute on a finger roll rather than dunking it. I still think Miami wins the series, but it will be in 6 now instead of 5.

You would think that after the Lakers series and the Thunder series that when you play Dallas the game isn't over until the very end. The Heat's offense in the last 3 minutes was awful. LBJ looked like DRose did when the Bulls played the Heat. This idea of dribbling the shot clock down and taking an off balance long jumper is making me wonder about the ability of NBA coaches these days. Carlisle gave the ball to Dirk and he drove in for a layup. Is that so hard to do LBJ? Wade? Spoelstra....can you not tell your guys to attack the rim? Really? Two of the best penetrators(giggity) in the league and they settle for long off balance jumpers? No one will ever be MJ or be better than MJ. No one. Paging Scottie Pippen..... I think the Heat learned their lesson. I think they take game 3.
June 3, 201115 yr Author Lebron with two off balanced threes at the end of the game. James has improved immensely this post-season with his confidence and overall perimeter shooting. That still does not negate the fact up until this point of his career he has been a high volume streak shooter. I think he and the entire Heat team got complacent with his new found perimeter success and waiting for him to bail them out (from deep) when traditionally speaking, that his not his m.o.
June 3, 201115 yr No reason why they should have lost this game. As great as Lebron has been this post season, he made some stupid decisions in the last 6 minutes. Wade was the hot hand in this one, but for some reason Wade only got two more shots after he hit that three with 6 minutes to go. Lebron for some reason was content to dribble down the shot clock, and try to go one on one himself. When if anything Wade should have been at least touching the ball in those series. I know Lebron has made some big shots in the 4th in these playoffs, however he needed to realize he was not the guy last night. Those possessions really were the turning point, because it got the Mavs back in it and all the momentum. Miami's coach talked about this too in the press conference. When he was asked if he regretted not getting the ball to Wade more after the 6 minute mark, he said they were trying to run their regular 4th quarter offense. However for some reason the ball was not getting moved around like it was suppose to, and the ball was just sticking with one guy for some reason he said.
