June 1, 201115 yr Just for the record, it was not me that said this to HT on twitter . :thumb:. No it was my cousin who is obviously not in a coherent state of mind. I would unfollow him but he is family.
June 1, 201115 yr Someone on twitter just said Lebron is 3 wins away from the title he deserves and they can't even comprehend how I don't think he "deserves" a title. Idiots. No one "deserves" anything. You earn titles, you earn respect ... it is what you earn, not what you deserve. LeBron is 3 wins from earning his first title.
June 1, 201115 yr No one "deserves" anything. You earn titles, you earn respect ... it is what you earn, not what you deserve. LeBron is 3 wins from earning his first title. That is my whole point. I told him if anyone "deserves" a title in this series it is Dirk.
June 1, 201115 yr That is my whole point. I told him if anyone "deserves" a title in this series it is Dirk. And I would say the same about Dirk. He doesn't deserve anything. He has to earn it. We are on the same page on this.
June 1, 201115 yr Sorry for the interuption. That was a pretty poor game by both teams I expect them both to be better next game especially Dallas. Their bench was very bad.
June 1, 201115 yr Great close out by the Heat. Heat have really come together during the 4th quarter during the playoffs. 1 down and 3 to go. Heat win this championship and a dynasty is upon the NBA.

Overreact much? The Heat have come up with the perfect formula right now...LeBron quarters 1-3, DWade takes over the 4th. The Mavs completely choked down the stretch. Dirk has to touch the ball every single possession.

Dirk has to touch the ball every single possession. I don't think I'm overreacting at all. Throughout the playoffs the Heats have been great at home and they've been great closing out games that they struggled to during the regular season. Wade is the best closer in the league, and Lebron has really outplayed himself in the playoffs. IF the Heat end up winning the championship then that takes off any pressure from Lebron, Wade, and Bosh to win a title as "The big 3" because they will have one. So then all the desire and determination isn't to just win the one, it's to win multiple titles. I believe if they win this year it will be the start of a dynasty, and unlike the Celtics the Heat are a lot younger and a lot stronger.

They'll have one title, and a bunch of teams that will build themselves to combat the Heat. DWade/LeBron is a good storyline, but I don't see anyway it works out to a dynasty for the league.

I'm not sure and don't follow the NBA like I do baseball so that's why I'm asking on that. I also don't see a lot of super teams forming in the NBA. I see more teams becoming more balanced and the league more balanced as a whole, which I think it was this year. I think it'll be harder after this year, and yes it may be premature to label them as a dynasty after one title but their roster will get yonger and better in the future and will continue to have solid role players come in to be a part of the team. I also think once Miller has the entire offseason to recover fully from his injury then he'll be a lot better next season. Right now who competes against the Heat next season for the title?

Dirk has to touch the ball every single possession. Yeah because that has been their formula all playoffs long. If anything, usually DWade starts out aggressive, they focus on Bosh for most of the early part of the game, and then the hot hand finishes, which in the playoffs has usually been LBJ. DWade hasn't taken over in the 4th since the Philly series, if you even want to call that 5 game massacre a series. No way is it a dynasty. They'll have one title, and a bunch of teams that will build themselves to combat the Heat. DWade/LeBron is a good storyline, but I don't see anyway it works out to a dynasty for the league. What team is going to be able to put together a better 3 man line-up? DHoward is in talks to extend his contract in Orlando two more years. By then Kobe will be in a rocking chair. Does CP3 make the Knicks better than Miami, because I don't see it. Who is going to come to OKC to help Durant and Westbrook, and would that team even be better than the Heat until Wade starts to fall off and its just LeBron and Bosh? Barring a career ending/changing injury from one of the Big 3, I see no way they don't win around 3 of the next 5. This year's team isn't half of what they will be next year IMO. Miller and Haslem should be healthy, and the Big 3 will have another year's experience playing with each other. I think teams will be begging for mercy this time next year. The new CBA is going to kill teams from trying to do this again and three stars is always going to be a tall task for any team. JMO

You summed it up pretty well IMO. With the new CBA in place, the only two things that can stop the Heat for the next couple of years are injuries and themselves, IMO.
June 1, 201115 yr Yeah, if the Heat win this year I expect them to win at least 3 titles as the SuperFriends barring injury or complacency. I'd love to see the team that can beat them in 7 games after this year.

I think injury would be the biggest detriment. Wade has taken a beating through his career and has had difficulty staying fully healthy.
