Track the NBA Finals - Mavs vs. Heat

I'm really hoping to see Dallas win. Dirk and Kidd are both highly worthy of NBA titles, as well as the rest of the team.

I'm pulling for the Mavs in this series because I'm a big fan of Dirk, Jason Terry, and Ty Crane. I'd probably like the Heat more if they didn't have Bosh.

"Lebron James? I'm the only Ty Crane!"

Here is what they had to say about the "celebration of the Heat"...

Soon James was throwing jabs at Wade’s chest in celebration, and the entire Finals spun on the Heat’s preening.

“Upsetting,” the Mavs’ Tyson Chandler(notes) said.

“A turning point,” teammate Jason Terry(notes) said.

“I don’t think it’s an issue,” LeBron James said.

My thing is what do you expect the Heat to say? "We thought we had the series won, we thought the Mavs sucked and we were rubbing it in"? Of course they're going to down play it. It was stupid for them to do that in the first place, they should have realized from game 5 against Chicago that they did not have the game won at that time. But really what are they going to say?

It was right in front of Mavs' bench I believe. It would have ticked me off though I do not buy the needed motivation to get up for a championship game.

It has been my biggest complaint about James for a few years. He is too good of a player to carry on like he does during a game. All the flexing, screaming, jabs, picture taking, etc. I know he is doing it simply to have fun and I get that. But it is just taboo for your elite superstar player to be the biggest goof ball on the team.

I didn't think it's a big deal as everyone is saying I just thinks it's funny to see the comments.

I agree I am more old school in my opinion on that. Give a chest bump on your way to the bench a few high fives and what not and go sit in the huddle for your timeout.

I concur. Though I do think overtime it would probably get old seeing the league's best player throwing it back in your face. Still, it is the finals and they had enough motivation.

If you aren't already up for the Finals you don't have a pulse.

If Bosh Spice wants to act a fool or Noah wants to scream down the court, that is fine, they are not at that level.

Just another example of LeBron just "not getting it".

You would never have seen Jordan do that. Never. Yeah, he talked trash, which I have no problem with, but there's no need for the supposed "Choosen One" to be dancing and posing. If he's that good, it should be expected, not celebrated IMO.

I think Dallas is way too sensitive. Their 'celebration' of the three is no different to running down the court with 3 fingers hoisted all the way down the court after hitting a three like Dirk and Stevenson do. Dallas needs to quit being so sensitive. Is this the NBA or WNBA? Bunch of little girls.

Wahhhhh, they got happy because they scored on us again and liked it!!!!! Wahhhhhhhh!!!!!

I agree kind of like your QB in football. The WR goes and acts a fool after the TD and the QB usually just gives it a fist pump and walks to the sideline while gives out high fives.

Shaq was the biggest goofball in the league and it turned out fine for him, championship-wise.

Also I think the Jordan and Magic comparisons are not who James reminds me the most of personality-wise as an athlete. I see him as more of a Muhammad Ali, without the titles of course. Could two people be more alike with the way they feel about themselves and the way they dance around? I know it is comparing boxing to basketball, but I think those two are really similar.
