Track the NBA Finals - Mavs vs. Heat

Featured Replies

JET needs to step it up if the Mavs want to win. Can't get zero production out of him and Barrea and expect to do much.

True, but even more so IMO, the Dallas bench needs to produce points,. Someone or two has to have a game every night off that bench. That is where they have the edge on the Heat and where they need to pick up points outside of Dirk and Terry.

JET comes off the bench doesn't he? I thought they started Kidd, Stevenson, Marion, Dirk, & Chandler.

Terry gets about 35 minutes a game. Even though he doesn't start I wouldn't count him as a bench guy personally. I would count Stevenson's production more as a bench guy. JMO.

I think injury would be the biggest detriment. Wade has taken a beating through his career and has had difficulty staying fully healthy.

With Lebron and Bosh there I would think that Wade doesn't have to be as physical because defenses play him differently now.

Wade has always just driven to the hoop with reckless abandon with little regard to his body. That is the part which will have to change.

Yeah because that has been their formula all playoffs long. If anything, usually DWade starts out aggressive, they focus on Bosh for most of the early part of the game, and then the hot hand finishes, which in the playoffs has usually been LBJ. DWade hasn't taken over in the 4th since the Philly series, if you even want to call that 5 game massacre a series.

What team is going to be able to put together a better 3 man line-up? DHoward is in talks to extend his contract in Orlando two more years. By then Kobe will be in a rocking chair. Does CP3 make the Knicks better than Miami, because I don't see it. Who is going to come to OKC to help Durant and Westbrook, and would that team even be better than the Heat until Wade starts to fall off and its just LeBron and Bosh?

Barring a career ending/changing injury from one of the Big 3, I see no way they don't win around 3 of the next 5. This year's team isn't half of what they will be next year IMO. Miller and Haslem should be healthy, and the Big 3 will have another year's experience playing with each other. I think teams will be begging for mercy this time next year. The new CBA is going to kill teams from trying to do this again and three stars is always going to be a tall task for any team. JMO

Unless the Heat have won 3 Championships in a row, which could happen. After year 3 even though I love Wade, I would consider trading him at that point if he is still playing close to a high level. This way they would still have Lebron and Bosh, but could also get some pretty good young talent in around those guys to in return. Now if they had just won 3 in a row, I say keep them together and ride it out until someone stops them.

1 down, 3 more to go. Mavs have got to pick up the pace. They will not do well in such a low scoring game. They need to try to get to around 100. JMO

They may be able to break the century mark once during the series but it won't be easy. Every game Miami plays the O/U is lower than 190.

If the CBA works out in their favor and there is a franchise tag and a hard cap they're winning 3 in a row.

Predictions on Game 2 tonight?

I say Heat win 95-86

Heat contain Dirk again and Wade goes for 35.

Heat by 5. LeBron closes & has a near triple double. DWade with about 25, Bosh with about 20. I think Dirk goes off tonight as well.

When Lebron is hitting 3's the other team has no chance.

Peja is killing the Mavs once again. They have to get him out of there.

Edited by HammerTime

He better be calling the timeout to get Peja out of the freaking game wow.

Peja is kissing the Mavs once again. They have to get him out of there.

So that is what they call it now.
