Highlands knocked off St. X Ohio....who does Simon have on there resume...and Simon will never come close to beating Trinity in my lifetime.

I also enjoy "stirring the pot", but I have to say uk#1fan has done one heck of a job of getting so many folks "panties in a wad". With entertainment like this who needs cable, this is too funny.

I don't care what a tiny small school ring looks like I care about what a big boy 6A ring looks like.
Maybe you'll get to see one...on the finger of one of the opponent's by whom SK is getting trounced -- again.

Oh, I somehow think another successful season from the Birds will cure that...

Back to the thread... Cris was Patrick Towles' FTJFL coach when Towles was an 8th grader on the gold team. With the already talented receiving corp at Dale's disposal, look for the birds to fly even higher through the air in 2011.

Wait....what? Cris Collinsworth is the wide receivers coach at Highlands now?

And he has another son playing as well?

(......blank stare......looks to the left......blank stare......looks straight ahead.....blank stare......looks right......blank stare)

(sighs.......sets iPhone down.......sighs)

(cusses silently under his breath.....kicks the wall.....clears throat)

Man, I hate Highlands.....:irked::D

Congrats on the hire. Truthfully though, I'd rather he'd coach at Highlands than announce/analyze NFL games. Take him away forever.

I'm disappointed in some of the usually logical people for getting sucked in.

I'm more disappointed in the trend I see developing in the Football forum. I rarely go into the P&R forum anymore and I see the same childish behavior in this forum more and more often. The whole concept of making posts "to stir the pot" or get "under peoples' skin" is childish and sophomoric. I joined this site a long time to enjoy adult conversation involving high school athletics.

I believe the word used on other message boards is "troll" for those people that just enjoy irritating people and posting irritating posts. When I see adults acting in such manner, it makes it easier and easier to understand how adults are messing up high school and youth athletics. Those people should be ashamed of themselves and spend some time in front of a mirror.

By the way, great decision by Highlands to add Cris. If he only gets to spend a couple of hours a week helping out the WRs, it's a plus.

I could not agree more Leatherneck. In the past I enjoyed logging onto this site to find out information about all the teams throughout Northern Kentucky. In my experience, this site made the games more fun to watch because it gave a forum to find out details about each team and created excitement before every game. The past few months and even at the end of this past football season control has been lost and this site and specifically the football forum has gone in a different direction. You can add me to the list of the many members I have spoken with who are unhappy with the immature and juvenile comments being made. I find myself now logging on reading a post and then shaking my head in disappointment at the product that I am paying to receive.

For the record, Cris will be a great addition to the Highlands staff to help develop these student athletes. I have not met many men more generous than Cris. Thank you Cris, for sharing your knowledge with our student athletes.

I agree I am done with it. It's fun and games, but more a waste of time. I will just wait and see how the season plays out and possibly give or take crow when it is due.

What a great addition to the coaching staff at HHS! Mr. Collinsworth has always been an active parent at HHS by coaching in the FTJFL as well as coaching girls' track. With the graduation of his daughter this year, I would assume his track duties have come to an end which opens up more time for football and his youngest son, Jac. You will never meet a more genuine and kind hearted man than Cris Collinsworth. I wish him tremendous luck in his new role!

I think it's sad that someone with no interest in Highlands football continues to hijack threads devoted to such and slam people that they don't know personally or professionally. Get a life and stop trying to bring down those who are actually doing something productive with theirs to better our youth! GO BIRDS!

Will this open the door for M. Hoge to coach at the freshman level now?

Congrats to Highlands and Cris, what a great addition to an already outstanding coaching staff.
