- People who give their list of top college basketball players of all-time & they include Michael Jordan on the list

I'm a little miffed by this one. The guy won a championship, was ACC Freshman of the Year, a two-time first team All-American, and the consensus Player of the Year in his final collegiate season as a junior.

I suppose it depends on where he's at on the list, but he is surely deserving of being on there somewhere.

I'm not disputing Jordan as a great college player. But he did win the championship playing a role similar (statistically) to the one Doron Lamb played @ UK this past year. I am of the opinion that Jordan is not even the greatest North Carolina basketball player of all-time.

If we're talking pros, I've got Jordan at the top of the list. As a collegian, he certainly excelled & garnered many awards & accolades. But I don't see him in any way being in the mix of top college basketball players of all-time. Similarly, it irks me when people include the 1981-82 UNC team as one of the best college teams of all-time. Again, I don't believe that team is even the best in UNC history.

I guess it comes back to people not being able to differentiate between the Jordan the pro from Jordan the Tar Heel.

Reminds me of the old classic joke.

Who was the only person able to slow down MJ at UNC?

I have seen "Share the Road" vanity license plates in KY that have an additional cost. Where does the revenue from these plates go?

Good question. If it all went to constructing bike paths and that's where bikes could only be ridden, I'd be in favor of it.

For the record, I'm not anti biking. It's just that biking and cars do not mix on winding, rural roads with 55 speed limits that have almost no shoulders. I ride a stationary bike most mornings at the gym. It's not as nice as riding through the countryside but I hate being rude to the folks driving the cars (which was the purpose the roads were built to begin with) and it's one heck of a lot safer.

Nice! And I don't doubt for a second that Dean Smith's system restricted Jordan from becoming in college what he eventually became as a pro.

Was in attendance at my daughters high school graduation. I was amazed at the number of names that were mispronounced. You'd think they'd know the kids names by now.

#1 pet peeve.... People who post pet peeves on BGP claiming certain actions actually diminish their quality of life. If you're talking earthquakes, tornadoes, terrorist attacks, etc. then I'll lend a sympathetic ear; otherwise, buy a spine...............j/k btw. I have several pet peeves myself.:D

My pet peeves:

1. People who think Bill Murray was an original member of SNL

2. Anything that comes out of Sarah Palin's mouth

3. Anything that comes out of Joy Bahar's mouth

4. Pubs that serve Stouts and Porters at incorrect temperatures AND give you a chilled glass for said beers.

5. The inclusion of beets as part of the food pyramid (both the original and revised pyramids)

6. Loud raucous music coming from cars that is louder than the loud raucous music coming from my car, thus interfering with my listening experience.

7. Highlands fans who expect to win the next 15 state titles in 4A (which is entirely possible. Yet, I still want to party with you guys despite your unapologetic arrogence)

8. People who don't realize the world revolves around me

9. People who say "I'll see you later" when we part ways. Life is unpredictable and, therefore, there are no guarantees of seeing me later. I just don't need that added pressure.

10. 95% of my posts

People that call others arrogant and can't spell the word correctly.:D

OK now I'm ready to party with you.:dancingpa

Also, I would hope every team expects to win.

People who "sag" their pants/shorts. Why do they do this?

People who "sag" their pants/shorts. Why do they do this?

...I was always told that it was a trend that came out of urban gang-land as a sign of toughness. Pants were worn in that style as a way to show how prison-hardened the wearer was as a result of doing time. It relates street clothes to the loose fitting "one size fits all" belt-less clothing issued in prisons.

That one cracks me up. I feel so uncomfortable when my pants fall even a little bit.

When I see these guys with the crotch of their pants down between their knees, it reminds me of a little kid who just "loaded" his pants. I don't get the reason for it. I've even seen some servers in restaurants with their pants this way. I've been known to asked the guy if he is going to wait on me and my wife to pull his drawers up where they belong or I will leave and inform the restaurant manager as to why. Then I'll fire off an email to the company headquarters.
