Sorry but it won't be that easy. Tandy is not all CC has, he is just the best they have. Again I do think HHS will win but this is the best CC team I have seen in years. If they play like they are capable of HHS will have their hands full.

Well it't official....

 

Just saw Adam Weinel,Ty Seidl and Austin Abner walking out of Smitty's barber shop sporting newly cut "Mohawk" haircuts. A tradition that was started a few years back whenever the Birds were playing in the finals, the boys would go get the Bosworth doo.....Love it!!!!!

Heard some were already sporting the doos at practice this morning. I imagine Monday will see a lot of cold heads. Nice tradition.

I think Highlands will win this one but everyone understand estimating CC is making a mistake. If they can stay disciplined and not give up the big plays I think they have a good chance of pulling the upset. Bubba Tandy is probably the most underrated player in the state. CC has probably as much overall team speed as anyone HHS has played this year.

 

As stated many times on BGP, Dale Mueller overlooks no one. The chance to win 20 state championships and 4 in a row has been the goal all season.

 

Watching Patrick Towles' performance during the playoffs has been a real pleasure. He threw 2 balls to Gold last night that made me think I was watching a game on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, releasing the ball before Gold had even turned back to catch the ball, both times resulting in completions. His scrambling ability is a D coordinator's worst nightmare.

Please don't think this is the mentality of all or even some Bluebird faithful. This is obviously a JC fan that is hanging his/her hat on a third round game. A loss at that!

 

Some people don't realize how hard it really is to get to or even win a State Championship. Yeah, the Highlands, Trinitys, Xs, Boyles, NCCs....of the world that continue to make it back to state, have undoubtedly worked their tails off to get to this point. And I know the other teams do too, but for some reason some things don't change. One thing in common is they don't take anyone lightly. It's silly to think otherwise.

this game is interesting to me in that Highlands is clearly vulnerable. I think they are the favorite but they seem to be far from a lock like they have been in the pasts. CC is very capable and led by a Mayfield Cardinal in Lovelace

Highlands will win for the simple fact that they have a better coaching staff and are more disciplined than CC.

 

Christian Co seems to have a balanced attack, based on the numbers, but I don't think their defense is good enough to out score the Birds.

 

Should be one heck of a game, but I gotta go with the Birds.

Can't say as this is the first one I have been in. I do know Henderson has played CC pretty much every year and this team is solid. I will also add that Clevenger said he thought this was the best team CC has had since he came to Henderson.

To be honest I don't really care one way or the other. I don't have a dog in the fight. However I do get tired of seeing posts like that. The same thing was said about the Trinity/X game but now every one is singing a different tune.

It's really not what you would call a full practice. It's more of stretching to get the kinks out and watching films.
