Does anyone know if you are allowed to park on the street from the school to the swim club on a Friday night?

The only parking allowed on Beechwood Road is from Dixie Hwy to the school.

 

ToothPick, If you get there earluy enough the top of the Expressway Plaza/Kroger lot by PNK Bank will be open, as well as spaces near the stores such as Subway on the left of the lot. There is a part of the lot at the top left near Lewin Monument and PNC they would be good too.

 

If the shopping center lot is full then try Beechwood Road, or Ashton Road, if those are out then I would suggest the swim club. As someone else mentioned, If you stay at Drawbridge I would instist that they take you to the school in their shuttle and have them come back and pick you all up after you call them to come get you after the game, I am sure if you all press them they will do it. There isn't much parking at the school, but there is more than in past years, you would have to get there very early for those spots.

 

I have a hard time believing that the Expressway Plaza/Kroger lot will be "packed", I've heard that all week and everytime I go by the lot to the left and up top by PNK are empty. You have a rebuilt and enlarged grocery store openning up the week before Thanksgiving, of course it's going to be busy! But the day after Thanksgiving, even though it's a Friday, I think the custumer numbers will drop, also people's focus will switch to Christmas shopping since it will be Black Friday!

I recommend the Mayfield faithful come early and join us locals at the Saddle Club in Fort Mitchell for a little pre-game getting to know one and other.

I have lived in Ft Mitchell all of these years and have never been there once, lol. Even with my former neighbors owning it a few years back. Hmmm. Of course 9 months ago was the first time Iv'e been to Dickmann's too, lol.

The Ft Mitchell Police have been instructed to ticket all cars with western KY county plates !!!!! :thumb: j/k

 

If you park up near the PNC bank, you can walk on the driveway between the bank and Schultz Jewlers toward the houses. Then walk down the back of the stores to Beechwood. They have installed a gate that enters the Beechwood parking lot. You can also walk to the the far right of the store as there is a gate there as well.

I cant saddle with you guys as I have a contigent of kids along but I just may have to study tailgate at the Drawbridge but then again as cold as it will be and with a 15-17 mph wind maybe I should do somthing indoors. Good to see a Bonefish nearby, we don't have one down here. yum

I stopp in the Old Saddle after I usually go to the Bees on Friday and Saturday night. LOL I stopped in there Sat after I got off work. How long have they been doing 80's night?

If anyone gets here early on Thurs or early Friday Night the adults should stop in at the Hollywood Casino. Even if you don't gamble it is a great pleace to people watch. It is only 20 min from Fort Mitchell and it is right on I-275

Mayfield's two best offensive players from last year both graduated - Shelton and Murrell. Their QB is very good and he is back from last year. I believe 4 of5 offensive linemen return and they are the reason Mayfield won big last year.

 

As to your question about the point spread, I think the way to look at that is ... Beechwood beat Frankfort 56-13 but do you think Beechwood is 43 points better than Frankfort? I don't. That is just the way the game went this year. And that is just the way things went for Beechwood last year at Mayfield. Scores often don't tell the true story. Last year, Beechwood was two good, healthy experienced offensive linemen from playing with Mayfield. But not having those linemen meant Mayfield could control the game and they did. So yes,IMO Beechwood has improved enough to make up the points from last year.

I think Beechwood wins.

 

I think 7 hour drive will play a little bit of a role in this one.

 

Plus I think the difference maker in this game will be the trigger man for Beechwood. I think this guy is pretty good throwing the football.

The drive is more like five hours, and I suspect that Mayfield will stay somewhere around Louisville on Thursday night to cut down the travel time on gameday.
