Both teams took care of business to get this far and both are hittin on all cylinders right now. Should be a heck of a game. Who takes this one and why?

Could someone who knows how, please post a poll with this thread? Thanks.

I don't know yet who to pick. But this is going to be a championship like game!! If anyone doesn't have anything to do friday night. Great place to take the wife out for the evening!! lol

These maybe the two best teams in the state in 1A football! IMO they are. Good luck to both. This is the best 1A has to offer for sure!

Mayfield has dominated all year. And Beechwood because of pre district play had a rough start. But they are at the top of their game right now. Good luck to both!

Mayield has beaten the crap outa everybody this year, why stop now.

Beechwood has a bad taste in their mouth from last years' loss to the Cards.

Tigers will come out fired up for this one. Who wins? I have no clue, but I do expect it to be one hell of a game.

Poll added. :thumb:

Saw where last night was the 10th running clock of the year for the Cards...that is a nice stat!

Beechwood coaching staff needs to do something to get the boys ready. Last year they went down there and were not mentally ready and the game was over before it started. It got ugly early. Quickslick and VOR, what's the plan to get them ready?

Same teams as last year...so one would expect the same results...

I have to disagree with you Crucnh, I think Beechwood is a better team than last year, and I Know MHS is way better than last year, they dont have a player with the explosivness as Shelton last year, but they have MORE weapons, but this is contingenget on whether or not Higgins for MHS (their #1reciever and defensive back) plays as he went down with a knee injury in warmups and did not play. Obviously they did not need him last night, but I think MHS is going to need him to have a chance to beat Beechwood on their home-field.

Every Mayfield vote counts as 4 votes.

Where do you think you are? Chicago??!

Mayfield also has played no where near the schedule that Beechwood has played. Put Mayfield against Beechwood's schedule and they're probably sitting at 9-4 right now with losses to Covcath, Highlands, Dixie, and Newcath.

That is funny Bluto! I agree with you Walter on MHS schedule strength, having said that the starters for MHS have only had to play the whole game 2 times this year, continuous clock in 10 of those.

Walter, you might be right, you might not be right. I still think Mayfield is a better football team than Beechwood. what matters is will Mayfield beat Beechwood.

Same talk as last year, if Mayfield played Beechwoods schedule, blah blah blah.

DAD GUM SNAKE, I'm a MHS fan too, but Walter has a very valid point! Beechwood's schedule, MHS would NOT be 12 and 0
