Okay, Google Earth and my NDA wife have straightened me out, I was getting Revolving Raddison and Draw Bridge mixed up despite you guys telling me different. My wife is wondering if DrawBridge is run down by now. Anybody know? I'm now thinking Raddison is the way to go

Newcath/Beechwood is a rivalry game that is going to be close year in and year out, regardless of which team is better and by how much.

 

I really wish Mayfield and Newcath were still in the same class. Chris Kelly, Brady Hightchew, Jake Cain, Dylan Hayes, and the Newcath receivers would cause headaches for the Mayfield D-coordinator all night. Keep thinking Beechwood and Newcath aren't in the same class as Mayfield. You're in for a rude awakening, my friend.

 

Beechwood has a much more diverse offense than you think. They simply run the ball because they don't have to pass against the single a teams to win. Cameron Vocke is every bit as fast and athletic as anyone on your Mayfield squad.

I completely agree. The winner, regardless of who it is will not win big. Beechwood is very diverse and played a team in Newport Catholic that was much bigger and had much more speed than a lot realize. New Cath has an offensive line as big as I've seen out of NKY in some time now and may be the biggest OL out of NKY, not sure though.

Drawbridge is fine! Have kids? They have a nice indoor pool area, and free breakfast! Fire of your tailgate grill in the east lot, when I smell the food i'll be right over, lol.

Drawbridge is still nice, I was in there for a business meeting back in the summer and it was as nice as it ever was.

Newcath's left side of the line is 6'7 245 and 6'10 330. The center, right guard, and right tackle, are all three in the 6'1-6'2 range and around 230-240.

No doubt the Tigers will be the underdog here. Mayfield embarrassed us last year, and they sound every bit as good, if not better this year. On the other hand, Beechwood is a much better team this year, and the Tigers are good at learining from their mistakes. This will be a great game.

 

I have to agree with those that said to definately stay away from the USA Hotel! I understand Drawbridge has upgraded their rooms. I don't know anything about the Super 8.

 

Krogers parking lot has been incredibly crowded since it reopened last week. Hopefully, the Thanksgiving crowd is responsible for that. However, another option for parking could be Beechwood Swim Club, which is a short walk to the school. If you are staying at Drawbridge, or Super 8, it will be on your right as you go up Beechwood Rd. If you are coming down Beechwood Rd. from Dixie Highway, you should pass the school and find it on your left.

 

In truth, it is an easy walk from Drawbridge to Beechwood, maybe 10-15 minutes if you are healthy.

 

There are a lot of good restaurants. Greyhound grill is a local favorite, but you better get reservations. Also, as mentioned before, Oriental Wok, Montgomery Ribs, LaRosa's Pizza (Local company, and SO GOOD!- They deliver too) , and Skyline Chili, are all good choices that are close by.

TP...you and your Mayfield faithful are getting sucked-in to this back-n-forth banter by mostly non-BW fans..."we" know it's an uphill battle to beat Mayfield...you guy's blow smoke up our butt's, but I prefer that as opposed your typical sand-bagging.

 

I like this years BW team much better than last year's team because they aren't one-dimensional. When Mayfield shutdown our game-plan there wasn't a plan "B" nor did we really have the option for a plan "B". Last year, you punched us in the mouth early, we didn't see it coming, and we played like a deer in headlights and never recovered. No way do I think you were 38pts better, but when were were forced into a passing game...we were done. This year, I do think BW is stronger, faster, more discipline, and we have a pretty decent passing game with a couple of 6"4 & 6'5" receivers with great hands...

 

I highly doubt BW will lay an egg this year, but who knows. Without a doubt Mayfield is the 1A Goliath. BW only has a total of 3 seniors on the field so last years game in not in the memory of this team like you think...will it be a blowout again, possibly, but this BW team will not quit. I pray your boy's are as over-confident and arrogant as the MHS fans...BW fans and players were over-confident last year and got it handed to them.

 

Yes, the schedule was the same as last years and yes, you still hammered us. The main difference this year is that we were competitive and up by 2 TD's in all but one of them. If we can keep it close with your 1's on the field late in the game we have a chance to steal it because we've been there done that multiple times this year...not sure if that's an advantage, but I'm grasping for anything right now

 

Have a safe trip...bring some very warm clothes (upper 20's at kickoff)
