Heard from unreliable sources that the game may need to be moved to Evarts vs. being played at Cawood. Some business about lights??? Can anyone confirm that information? Thanks.

 

I will go ahead and do the bolding for you. This game will not be moved people, period end of sentence. If the opposing team coach requests to Dale that the game be moved its because something favors the Birds or doesnt favor the opponent in which Dale would pickup on this and say nah baby nah.

Think about the scenario, horrible facilities, muddy field, poor lighting. It takes both coaches to agree to move the game and this wont happen in the Highlands camp unless of course HC agrees to drive via WVA to Ft Thomas. LOL. Go Birds 20n10

I don't think there's any way that this game will be moved. This has to be a rumor.........If there is an issue with lights, it will be fixed! Harlan County is in the fortunate position to be hosting the 5A State Semi-Finals and the administration will do their best to make sure it is a memorable experience for all involved. This is also an opportunity to showcase our hospitality....

I did hear it's possible the game time might be moved up to 6:00 pm. Can anyone confirm this?

I would assume a mud bowl is in store for the Birds. Could be interesting if the footing is bad and neutralizes the Birds' speed advantage.

Wrong turns, poor lights, mud bowls, mountain ball, hard core guys, gravel in your guts, spit in your eyes. I gues anything in the moutains flies. How about lining up and playing a football game?! People want respect, well they need to give some before they get some.

This should be a good game, when it comes to reaching the semifinals, any team is good. Good luck to both teams and may the best one win.

I wouldn't assume that at this point as the forecast for Harlan is not as bad as around here.

Not that it matters on this thread but Birds Frosh scored over 380 pts and only gave up like 70 this season and beat all the big 6A schools like Ryle, Conner, Boone Co and Simon Kenton. Come Again.......

 

And they will add a few more to the group the next 3 years!

Not sure I'm following you on the Bell Co. assessment. Bell squashed JC. Highlands eeked by JC. Bell over HC. Highlands big? whatever. This game will be another close one. 2td max spread. Factor in the location and a Bluebird team still high from JC and you even have a potential upset in the making.
