Back to the thread here boys. Do "Da Bears" wear all black unis like JC? Anyone?

 

My understanding is solid black with only a little white on the helmet.

What a great experience for the players, fans and everyone. Harlan County is prepping for the 19 time state football champions to point their mega-bus convoy into town. The whole county will likely turn out for this one. For Highlands, it is a trip into the mountains the day after Thanksgiving. You have to know all of Ft. Thomas is a buzz. Congratulations to both programs for providing an environment where the kids can participate in such an event.

I wanted to post that article, after seeing it in the paper this morning, but couldn't find it on the Post's website.

I am curious to know what Highlands even knows about Harlan Co.

 

I've heard that it is difficult to leave Harlan alive but I'm not from Highlands/Ft. Thomas.

 

The HHs coaches should also be prepared that the sun doesn't rise until about 10 am and sets at around 3pm in Harlan.:lol:

I imagine the coaches know quite a bit about Harlan Co, as do the players by now. Not a lot of reason for the HHS fans to know anything about Harlan County before this week as we've never played. That's one of the neat things about playing a program you haven't met before.

I would say HC knows what everyone knows about Highlands. To get to sate you have to beat them and they are the class of KY. when you talk football, they are mentioned. I am sure no one disrespects the birds. They have plenty of rings to back up what they stand for.

Is it faster to get off at London, KY or go on down to Corbin? Any suggestions

Solid post. :thumb: I love match-ups like HHS v. Harlan and JC. The kids on both sides will remember these games for years (as will the parents). IMO, these games are great for KY football. Teams from relatively unfamiliar parts of the state playing each other will only strengthen the programs at both ends.
