Did you read the part in this thread that Highlands QB is injured and may not play ? No , the score won't be 140 -0 , I'd say more like 28-0 give or take a couple either way ! Go BIRDS !!!

From the sounds of it, Harlan Co. should stay home....Fans amaze me, Just let the boys play the game..

I never had a problem with Highlands when I was in HS. We lost to them once and Cov Cath once back when it was the 1st rd matchup and we were outmatched in both games. Just the last 3 days of reading the comments from the Highlands fans has now shown me why everyone I knew struggled to give them any respect. No class in the way you all win. I hope the players and coaches aren't as arrogant and disrespectful as the fans on here. Good luck to HC, play hard and don't give up...you've had an amazing run in 3 short years. Better things to come.

The Field at Cawood has been there since the early-mid 70's accordign to Tim Saylor, the viistor side is okay and an above average number of bleachers. It is a long walk from the parking lot. Lots of port-O-Potties. The press box is small by most standards. Playing surface is still grass covered although dormate. Lighting is average or a little below. All told I woul grade it C- factoring in the terrible parking and one way in and one way out.....

I think you're seriously misinterpreting what you're reading here. Although some if it is over the top, that's just something that happens in fandom -- especially when a team has reason to be confident. But let's not paint people with such broad brushes.

One of many errors in this elite "reporting" job.

The problem is we are having fun with our "smashmouth talk" and you are taking it waaaaaaaaaaaay too personal. We are all just having fun at the expense of the clown newspaper reporter Mike Ball or something.

I can assure you that Highlands fans and more importantly the players and coaches have the upmost respect for HC. Why wouldnt they? They are a final four team in 5A. They must be doing something right and the Birds will not underestimate them. Go Birds 20n10

Just like UK, Duke, North Carolina basketball, Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida football, etc., a small but vocal minority of fans over a number of years paints a picture of an entire fan base that is not so flattering. I suspect if you base your opinions on actual interactions with fans rather than "anonymous" postings and reputations, you will get a better read.
