The Walking Dead (Spoiler Alert)

Featured Replies

I have a hard time figuring out the capabilities of the zombies. You can hide under a car and they walk right by with no clue. Leave a door open though, and they're on your RV and trying to bust through a door. Also, who knew zombies attended church services?[/QUOTE]

That was freakin weird.

They are scavengers so they wonder through different things, like the RV. The zombie was getting ready to leave the RV until she dropped the gun, that set off the zombie.

Why were they peacefully sitting down in the church? That scened just seemed very odd to me. I wonder if it's going to be a clue of things to come?

They're brain dead, crave flesh, and still have souls. Yea that would be awfully interesting stuff. Actually in retorspect that would be nuts, sense he was in the church asking for a sign from god; not thinking about the fact that he'd just walked in on 3 walkers sitting in church as though they were there for a service.

It was literally like they were in a service, just hanging out. That seems so odd considering what we've seen throughout the rest of the show.

^ At this point it seems like they're just trying to do as many interesting things with the walkers as they can rather than conform to any of the standard zombie archetypes or even concern themselves with uniformity within the show's unique reality.

George Romero's work suggests that zombies contain some shade of memory or recollection of things familiar to that person when they were alive. It would explain how they had perhaps gotten to the church, though not why they're sedentary. Also, the doors were shut when the group showed up at the church and I can't imagine that the living dead shut the door behind them as they entered, so they were likely in the church at the time they turned. Even if they were already in the church when they turned, the show's portrayal of them so far has always shown the walkers to be on a constant quest for food and in seemingly constant motion. Even that bizarre cut-in-half guy from the first episode of last season pulled himself along the ground despite having no legs. Maybe we'll find out that the dead in this universe are a lot more diverse in their behaviors than we've ever seen before.

I think this was a clue to the future. I'm anxious to see if it comes back up again.

The fact that they were sitting there very reserved reveals they were Baptist zombies, because Penecostal zombies would have been slain in the Spirit.

Kidding, of course... :D

S2-E2 bloodletting in 20 minutes. I'm pumped. I'm wondering if they start splitting up or have a big group hug and continue to hang out. Will Sophie be found?

I think they'll split up or at least Rick and Shane will split up. I think they'll find the girl. I also expect them to find some other survivors this week - someone fired that gun last week.

They almost have to find some new folks, just so they can have somebody else to get eaten by Walkers.

Blooper, Jesus dying on the cross, no way in a Baptist Church. The cross would have beem empty with Jesus's robe around it, but thats OK. They were waiting on the "Potluck". But find the little girl.

Good Catch! I thought that looked out of place. Also--one of the female "worshipers" had on the round lace head cover that used to be worn by women in Catholic churches. (Still is in many countries.) I don't think that is worn by women in Baptist services?

I think that the guy that has the arm injury and supposed vein infection was possibly bitten by a walker? Also---how is it that as they all scrounge for food and water, a couple of them appear to still have a nice supply of supersized big macs?

Nope, he cut it on a rusty car door. I was no overly thrilled with last nights show. Too much story telling, not enough action.

Less action than usual, I thought it was a nice twist to get some story lines established. The girl coming in on the horse was cool, and of course the cliffhanger with the 2 stuck in the high school. Should be interesting to see how they get out of that.
