December 12, 201015 yr Not even close to counting, I don't think anyone said that. He just admitted he said that.
December 12, 201015 yr I guess the same planet as your all's former coach in Bill Cowher. Some of his decision making this year has been horrible, and is all on him. However half of them as well has been on receivers too for not running the right routes. I forgot though that all of us on here know as much about NFL football and what all goes into it, as people who do it for al iving. If you think that 9 picks are on the receivers not running the right routes, then I'm obviously not arguing with someone tuned in to the same stations I tune into on Sundays. Good day!
December 12, 201015 yr He just admitted he said that. Oh OK I see, well if FC is many then yeah I guess you are right but pretty sure he is the only one that said that.

December 12, 201015 yr Palmer lost this game today all by himself. How can you watch this turd and defend him? I know that, and if you look in the game thread I admit that. However some of you keep acting like he is the only reason for this bad season. Never hear you talk about other players or coaches who also play a huge part in it. Half the losses have been on the defense and speical teams too. It wouldn't matter who was the QB this year, this team would at best be a 4 win team. I know I also have admitted that if they can get Luck in the draft that they have to take him. So I am not against changing things, however I also realize that this team has a lot more problems than just QB. So its tiring hearing people act like its just the QB. He is one of MANY PROBLEMS. When you have this many problems it is on the coaching. Getting new coaches in would fix more things, than getting a new QB IMO. Yes get a QB in the draft too, and have him sit at first to learn. Maybe with new coaching for the first time Palmer will get new life, and if not then go with the young guy.
December 12, 201015 yr Why can't they get Luck, and what do we consider good? Because Carolina is worse and the Bengals beat them
December 12, 201015 yr Here HT. This was on the first page of one thread. Didn't feel like going over the many Palmer threads. The first two were FC, and the last one was another member (but not SSC). Maybe there weren't many, but there were more than just one or two.... However what I have argued all along, is if he is given the same opportunties like these other top QB's then we will see him being one of the top QB's again. He has that around him this year, so if I am wrong and he still is just average. Then I will eat all the crow that you all want to give. However about the Steve Young thing. Even though I believe if Palmer has around him like the other top QB's in the league that he would be a top 5 QB again. I do not think he is as good as Steve Young. I mean no reason for anyone to make that comparison at this time. Steve Young won a MVP, Super Bowl and is a Hall of Famer. So I do not agree with whoever said that. From and un bias point of view, and just from the point of view of a football fan in general. Carson Palmer has been good, is good, and will be good. People have a very short memory if they cannot remember how Carson was perceived around the NFL community before his knee injury. Palmer is very effective when he has people to throw the ball too. Its hard when you have Ocho being double teamed, and Caldwell as your second or third option. You should see Palmer return to top 5-10 form this season with adequate receivers to throw the ball to. You cannot lose a TJ, and a Henry then replace with Laverneous Coles and Andre Caldwell and match your prior success, especially a couple years off serious injury.

Good day! I am obviously not arguing with someone who nows how important timing and being in the right spot is when it comes to completing passes. Its funny as I said that NFL people and even your former coach talk about how hard it must be this season to throw to guys not in the right spots, however you don't see that. I guess he must be watching something else too, plus not like he gets to break down film or anything...So good day to you too sir.
December 12, 201015 yr 5-10 isn't top 5. It's fringe top 5. And I either said or meant to say that it was what many had said all along, not just this season.

Sure his teammates let him down alot this year, but he's been awful.

The first two were FC, and the last one was another member (but not SSC). Maybe there weren't many, but there were more than just one or two.... You won't find anywhere where I said top 5 or anything like it. I still think he's as good or better than at least half of the starters in the NFL though. He's made bad decisions this year, but that doesn't surprise me. He's done that his whole career. I really hope they get rid of him. I know he's better than Tavaris Jackson. I hope he goes there. If not there I do hope he goes to Arizona. Very winnable division and Fitzgerald is good.
December 12, 201015 yr FC, I'm begging you please stop making excuses for Palmer. Sure his teammates let him down alot this year, but he's been awful. As I said before its weird that Jaws, Cowher and other guys NFL now are saying the samethings. I mean do they have their Bengal glasses on now too, as you tell me? Why would they as you say be making excuses for him, unless there is some good reason for it too? I admit today was all on him for the lost, no arguing from me on that. I admit too that his decision making this year at times has BEEN HORRIBLE!. However as I said its time for you all to admit, that maybe its just not excuses as you say. If you keep getting more and more NFL people saying some of the same things, guys who actually do break down the films and know whats going on.

He has had a very conservative head coach the whole time, and the same OC and QB coach since he has been here. Not to mention that OC is the most predictable guy in the NFL. Just having some new guys around him telling him some new things he hasn't heard already, and new ideas will help. Then if that still does now help, then bench him for whatever young guy they draft. If they have the first pick they have to take Luck IMO. However if not, then they should at least attempt to trade down. Draft a defensive lineman, or offensive lineman in the first round. Then take a QB like Lockard in the 2nd round, and go from there.
