Carson Palmer

Featured Replies

He seemed upset with TO on the first one but the second one was a terrible read no doubt. The Bengals need a change and I'd love to see Palmer get a shot with someone else. The problem is the Bengals can't get Luck so they'll take Newton and he won't be good.

Why can't they get Luck, and what do we consider good?

What have you seen that would make you say Newton could not be a very good NFL QB?

-His arm strength is through the roof.

-He can make all the throws and is surprisingly accurate.

-He is a freak athlete.

I've also not seen one analyst comment on bad mechanical flaws like they did VY and Tebow. The only knock people could have on him is that he has not played in a pro-style offense, but neither did Bradford and he's been fine. It would be crazy to expect any QB to come in and be as good as Bradford has been this year, but I see no reason why Newton could not become a good NFL QB if he had time and coaching.

I hope Carson stays for 10 more seasons.

 Yep, but for entirely different reasons.:thumb:
No other team would take Palmer because of his contract. And no way the Bengals just release him. So we are stuck with him for the duration of his contract. The line is a concern. He does have a RB that is in the top 10 in the AFC, and two recievers that are in the top 10. ( Going into last week ). So the weapons are there. We said before the season started that failure this season rests on Palmers shoulders. I believe that to be true, but not soley on him. The D also has to be looked at. Yes they have injuries in the secondary, but the line and lber play has been abysmal. Zimmer is struggling also. Honestly, i think last year was a fluke, and we are back to status quo in Bungledom.

Like shootin fish in a barrel

Man did you see that idiot Bill Cowher making excuses for Palmer today too at halftime. I can't believe a Super Bowl Coach who use to coach their rival is now making excuses for Palmer too. I mean he must not watch to football to say some of these things, because its just excuses. As we know some of the things I have said, and now other NFL people are just making excuses, and those things can't be true.

I had admitted a few times now that Palmer has made some BAD BAD BAD decisions this year, like the last two picks today. However I will say this you all really don't know much about football, if you keep acting like everytime its his fault. Its time for you all to admit too, that its not all his fault either. I am man enough to admit that I was wrong, and say that Palmer has made some terrible decisions this year. However to keep acting like its only Palmer and that getting a new QB would fix things because its just him is crazy.

Don't forget SSC too.

I think SSC is beginning to get it

 Who on here has claimed that getting rid of Palmer would make the Bengals that much better? He's the QB he's going to take the most heat. IF he was what many said that he was (a fringe top 5 QB), he would be able to make up for alot of their deficiencies would he not?

If it walks like a duck, and it swims like a duck, and it quacks like a duck...

I think SSC is beginning to get it

I might be wrong, but to me it seems like he thinks Bengals fans are too hard on Palmer and that a fresh start would do him some good. To me I think a fresh start would have him sitting on a bench or competing with scrubs like Anderson out in Arizona for a job.

No one said that about him this year.
