Let the Bengals move to LA............

I'd be OK with Palmer going back to LA. He could help Kiffin.

Bengals O line ranked 13th. Ranking is based on sacks.http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&role=TM&offensiveStatisticCategory=OFFENSIVE_LINE&tabSeq=2&qualified=true There ar other stats on the site where it appears the Bengals O line is somewhere in the middle. Let's quit blaming the line. Lets quit blaming the recievers, and the TE. I thought we all agreed before the season started, that this year hinged on Cartson Palmer, and his play. Now we are making excuses for an overpaid washed up shell of a good NFL QB. Time to move on. You ask with whom. I'd say pretty much any other QB in the league could have this team at 2-6

Even you should know better to look just at sacks and decide how a line is. Sacks really mean nothing, it is how much pressure the offensive line gives up and they do that a lot. The reason why they don't give up so many sacks is because Palmer does try to make the throw. Which I admit sometimes is dumb, because he does force it into triple coverage at those times.

As I said before, if you want a new QB. I guess that means you look forward to having the days of the 90's and early 2000's when we went through a ton of QB's because they all sucked. I know I don't look forward to that day, however apparently you do. Palmer is going to end up in the top 10 in most category's this year, when the season is done. So yes the Bengals could do much worst than they have now. To have a QB in the top 10 in most stats, and still be as bad as they are. Don't you think that kind of shows that there are much more problems than him. If you take him out of the picture, we really will be back to the horrible teams of the 90's.

Gresham and Shipley 5th and 7th respectively in receptions for rookies in the NFL. Let's quit blaming them

Who is throwing them the ball? They also have a guy in TO who is in the top 3 in every receiving category. How is all this possible since they have a QB that they need to get rid of. Just face it, this teams problem is not Palmer. Yes he has his mistakes he makes too, however there are many more reasons for why this team is where its at than him.

Who blamed them?

The Bengals are on the edge of being there now. That with a #1 118 million dollar QB. Perhaps, I know I'm going out on a limb here, they could draft Luck or Mallet type QB and look towards the future. I don't think this years team is any better than most of those teams you so dread reverting back to. It seems as long as your boy CP is at the helm you are happy with a 2-6 season.

I could have sworn that he promised the excuses would end this season. I'm back from my two week Bengals hiatus, but you know I think I might be done. It's depressing seeing the "Sun-Shiners" do the mental gymnastics to dance around the issue of Palmer. Are there worse players than Palmer on the Bengals? No doubt. But he is another one of their problems. On a 2-6 team that will probably end up less than .500 after adding pieces to a playoff team, no one should be safe on this team. It's sad when T.O., two steps from middle age, is one of the only players producing. Palmer is putting up numbers, but could anyone actually say he's a top 10 QB this season? Stats are stats.

Top 10, hardly, but he isn't bottom 10 like you've been claiming either.

In this thread? I can't find where he blamed Gresham or Shipley.

They added Bryant who they cut after one practice and Owens who they never would have added if it wasn't for Palmer. They are terribly coached and undisciplined. They haven't picked a pro bowl player since Carson Palmer. I'd say they have some issues other than CP.

It's subjective. I could find 20 QBs I'd much rather have QB-ing my team. Maybe you can't, but a case could be made. The excuses made for Palmer could be made for a bunch of QBs, but no one else is mentioned. Bad OL for Cincy? What about the OL protecting Jay Cutler, maybe the worst OL since the Texans were an expansion team? How about his WRs?

Unsteady WR corp for Cincy? Who does Sam Bradford throw to?

Under performing defense? What about the defenses for Matt Stafford or Matt Schaub.

Outside of Wes Welker who does Tom Brady have on his team? Indianapolis has a bottom 1/3 defense in the NFL (at least statistically) and no run game but Manning makes up for it. Sure those guys are light years ahead of CP but its not like Palmer is the only QB in the league that has parts of his team not performing. Every team in the league is like that. It's just time to call it like it is.

Alot of guys on here make excuses for Palmer but his situation in regards to surrounding talent is much better than many QBs in the league.

I admitted that. Go back and read it for yourself. "He is another one of their problems".

Jay Cutler is pathetic. Even when he's not still drunk or hungover, all he knows how to do is lose and throw picks.

I won't deny that. He does play behind a horrible OL and for an OC that has him throw the ball as much as possible. I was pointing out the fact that QBs in this league have worse OL's and OCs who do not play to a team's strengths (or in Martz's case he exposes their weaknesses). Some on here act like Cincy has the worst OL in the league, the worst OC, the most under-performing defense, and the worst WR corp. Two of those things were strengths according to Bengals nation coming into the season on here. I just want the excuses to stop. If you or whoever think Palmer is a great QB fine. But, the excuses are tired and really invalid, seeing as some QBs in the league have it much worse.

Its just a never ending cycle, maybe Cincy will get rid of Lewis, Bartkowski or whatever his name is, Chad, and draft and sign some good defensive players. Maybe grad a proven WR too. Hopefully not though, I'd hate to go through another year of excuses for Palmer. Its never his fault on here for some people. I'm done, I'm out of this. I'm tired of running in circles, I don't care what you guys think about CP (think he's the best QB going if you want) but don't get mad when someone feels that Carson is average, below average, or just flat out sucks. And don't say it's bias for me. I hate Carson Palmer because I've always felt he was overrated. I don't think he's overrated because I hate his game, that's two totally different things if you think about what I'm saying.. To me the love fest for him was sickening, and to me he's always been a serviceable guy, a guy that looks good with talent and less than average when he doesn't have it around him. My hate for his game is a byproduct of how he plays and is viewed. I don't view him badly because I hate him as a player. I always thought he was average and my dislike for him stemmed from the love affair Bengals nation had with him for so long.

If I hated his game and though he was overrated because I didn't like him, the claim of bias would be more valid. Not liking him from the get-go and never giving him a chance is different that watching him play and forming an opinion. It's probably still bias, but it's totally different to me. I don't know if you've made a "bias" claim for me, but it's not like bias is what caused me to form an opinion on his game.
