December 11, 201015 yr The schedule will be much easier next season no doubt, but they'd still struggle to finish .500. As of right now, they'll be playing... Cleveland 2x - Split Baltimore 2x - 2 L Pittsburgh 2x - 2 L Buffalo - W Denver - W Indianapolis - L Tennessee - L Jacksonville - L Houston - L San Francisco - W St. Louis - L Arizona - W Seattle - W I'd guess 6-10 with that schedule. I'd guess we have no clue who will be coaching the Bengals, Texans, and Broncos so how can you say who they will win or lose against this far out? It's absurd to look that far ahead at individual games. All I know is I'd rather play the NFC West and AFC South compared to the divisions they played this year. I'd also rather play the 4th place schedule than 1st place schedule.
December 11, 201015 yr If memory serves, every year the Bengals made the Super Bowl, they had a real bad year the season before and was playing a lower schedule.
December 11, 201015 yr I think their schedule next year (they play the NFC West and 4th place AFC teams) if they get some new coaches in here could easily let them compete for the division or wild card. They were in every game this year but one or two and questionable coaching decisions and player decisions have cost them dearly. Also having the second most guys go on IR hasn't helped. The Bengals need a lot of breaks to win 10 games because they don't have many really good players and their depth isn't great because they can't scout. They aren't too far off though. They do have some solind players, just no game changers. I still think they would have been 8-8 or better if they didn't blow the Cleveland and TB games back to back. The momentum from those wins would have made a difference. Making the playoffs would only be a band-aid for the Bengals IMO. I think they need to start over. I like Chad and TO, but they should let them go, obviously I think they should get rid of Palmer if they can find a trade partner, get rid of Benson. Rebuild this team the right way, mainly through drafting high character guys. I would honestly follow the Lions model of the last few years (as crazy as that sounds). They've built there team for the future: Calvin Johnson, Matt Stafford, Jahvid Best, Pettigrew, Ndamakong Suh. They haven't really tried to make the splashy FA pickup, they are just trying to let their young team get better and better by gaining experience.
December 11, 201015 yr If memory serves, every year the Bengals made the Super Bowl, they had a real bad year the season before and was playing a lower schedule. Probably true. But they beat the top teams in the playoffs. I surely hope you're not comparing the two SB teams to the 05 and 09 teams.

Agreed, but I doubt Brown is going to start completely over and I really think a servicable coach would change this franchise.

It's nearly impossible to predict "next season" in the NFL, but that looks like a very favorable schedule for the Bengals. I would not chalk up Tenn, Jax, STL or Houston as losses... at least not this far out.
December 12, 201015 yr Author TD pass to the other team again. 2 today. I'm going to look up how many of those he has this season.
December 12, 201015 yr He is kiliing the Bengals. He has to go You would hope that is a sure thing at this point.
December 12, 201015 yr Author New England 1 INT TD Tampa Bay 1 INT TD Indianapolis 1 INT TD Pittsburgh 2 INT TD Seems like more than this but here is what I found.

December 12, 201015 yr New England 1 INT TD Tampa Bay 1 INT TD Indianapolis 1 INT TD Pittsburgh 2 INT TD Seems like more than this but here is what I found. That is correct. joereedy Unofficially, Palmer now leads NFL QBs with the most Pick 6's since '04 with 15
December 12, 201015 yr He is kiliing the Bengals. He has to go He seemed upset with TO on the first one but the second one was a terrible read no doubt. The Bengals need a change and I'd love to see Palmer get a shot with someone else. The problem is the Bengals can't get Luck so they'll take Newton and he won't be good.
